An evenly contested opening few minutes in this match with both sides getting the level of each other so far.

Warrington do well to break upfield and twice put the pressure onto Castleford before the turnover.

Early days, but the hosts are keeping Cas pegged back so far.

Warrington only reached a Grand Final 12 months ago, but that's certainly not gone to the head of Wolves boss Steve Price.

He thinks Castleford have the upper hand when his side face them at the Halliwell Jones Stadium tonight.

"I know what a top footy team we've got. We've played a lot of internationals and big games and we've got to use that experience," he told BBC Radio Merseyside.

"No one gave us a chance not so long ago. Everyone can keep doubting us, that's fine with us, we're big underdogs."

Castleford reached tonight's first Super League play-off eliminator having finished fifth and a place behind Warrington, but Tigers boss Daryl Powell isn't getting ahead of himself.

"I don't think anybody expects us to get to the final and win it. We've got a fair bit of belief ourselves and we've got to harness all that and go and play four outstanding games of rugby league," Powell told BBC Radio Leeds.

"We've got a chance. We're in the five but we're going to have to be outstanding to take that chance.

"At the start of the season everybody says they want to be in the final and there are teams that expect to be in the five. For us, what's happened to us with injuries, we had to work hard but we're in."

Warrington reached the Super League Grand Final last season but, with a new play-off format in place, Castelford are the first in a line of teams they will have to beat if they are to reach Old Trafford once more.

"We've got a good record in knockout competitions with everything on the line and that's probably where we play our best style of rugby," Warrington captain Chris Hill told BBC Sport.

"Fourth is not where we wanted to finish but it is what it is and we'll take it against Castleford.

"We have to concentrate on Cas and maximise every training day and recovery day."

A case of 'new new' or 'old new'? You be the judge.

Knockout rugby is back in Super League and the Super 8s are gone only to be replaced with a new format, that was actually used at the turn of the millennium.

Tonight we have our first elimination match as fourth-placed Warrington take on fifth-placed Castleford.

    I can't wait. Kick-off is coming soon.
