Away from today's match for a second...

New Zealand legend Sonny Bill Williams met the media earlier this week after signing a deal with Super League newcomers Toronto Wolfpack.

I spoke to Williams about that move, and how becoming a Muslim helped him "become a better person".

It was noticeable in the last 15 minutes the Great Britain energy levels dropped and PNG were still going. In the second half it's going to get worse - there will be great pressure on Great Britain.

It was negative play from Jackson Hastings kicking to touch, trying to look for half-time when they have got build the scoreboard.

It is so tough with the conditions, if you have the ball you control the speed of the game.

You mention about the ruck speed they have created, that is the result - you give an opportunity for your faster players to get in and around that space and go at the big players.

There is no substitute in our game for running hard. That is what PNG have done, they need some polish on the back of that and better execution in some of their plays, but they are not having trouble making metres.

Another Great Britain player is stricken as Gareth Widdop took a heavy hit into his ribs there.

Hopefully the medical staff have taken plenty of ice packs and bandages over...they're going to need them.

It's been a good opening from Great Britain, they've been expansive but at the same time conservative and they have built some pressure on this Kumuls team.

But the Great Britain unforced errors are still there.

It's hard to call against it, but you can clearly see it's on the line. A lovely offload from the Kumuls but they couldn't ground the ball properly.

It was a marvellous effort from Edene Gebbie, flying into the corner and touching down, but the ball catches the whitewash and is ruled out.

Extremely unlucky, I thought he was in.
