Kyle: Huge mistake if England get rid of Wayne Bennett. The guy is a serial winner. People should get off his backs we have had narrow losses and we have had plenty of injuries too. British rugby league is still in good hands and we are going places.

I would be very surprised if James Graham comes back on the field. With all the protocols, I would be very surprised if he passes the HIA.

On uncapped Leeds winger Ash Handley being called into the squad while on holiday, but not being selected...

Why take him out there? I would be spitting feathers. It's disrespectful. To ask him to go out there and not have him involved, I think it's the wrong call.

From all I have seen about this guy as a coach, he is just bothered about performance. That sometimes is perceived as a lack of passion, but he is purely obsessed with performance.

Wayne Bennett can distance himself from the media side and charismatic side of the job, but if you're obsessed with performance and your team isn't performing then you've got a problem.

  18. Bennett 'not interested in criticism'published at 07:17 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2019

Great Britain coach Wayne Bennett says he is "not interested" in criticism of his tenure despite three straight defeats during the Lions' 2019 tour.

Bennett, 69, has overseen a loss to Tonga and defeats in two Tests by New Zealand.

The Australian, who is also England coach, is out of contract after today's game.

"If criticism helped me then I'd read it, but it doesn't," Bennett told BBC Radio 5 Live. "I haven't read a thing and I'm not interested. We've had three world-class teams in the national field and what's the biggest losing margin? Eight or 10 points?"

Luke Page, best known as the White Kumul who also moonlights as a DJ, will line up for Papua New Guinea against the Lions today.

"If I get bashed, I get bashed but will give back just as much," he told BBC Sport.

"We will do the best we can and if we can leave the field proud of what we have done, then that's all we can do. Regardless - win, lose or draw - the Lions will definitely leave the field sore because we will give it everything we can."

There is a complete energy about it - you can feel it in the hotels, in the streets, in the shops, they just talk about rugby league and how they love it.

The Lions have to execute really well, they have to take the energy out of the crowd - it will be about this first 20 minutes.

There are a few people with a point to prove.
