So the wait goes on for Super League to reclaim the title as 'world's greatest' side as Sydney Roosters show their undoubted class to see off a plucky Saints.
What is pleasing though, is the level of respect earned from the visitors, the appreciation for our stars and the quality of the football.
St Helens have won us a few fans down under, and the Roosters have been perfect visitors.
There's a nice glow around rugby league tonight, let's enjoy it.
Until next time. Good night.

Sydney Roosters head coach Trent Robinson told BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra:
"I'm really proud, it's been an amazing year in 2019 after we came and started down here in Wigan. We finished it off tonight.
"They're a top quality team and they've earned the right to call themselves that and they delivered.
"They play with skill and physicality and it was a really tough game and we had to work hard for it."

Little bits of quality from the Roosters was the difference - and that's been the difference between the two hemispheres for a long time.
Both teams competed so hard so when it mattered Saints didn't execute like they needed to.
You're blessed to watch great sides and the Roosters are a great side.

It's great to see the genuine enthusiasm for this competition from the Sydney Roosters, as they receive the trophy and Jake Friend hauls the cup aloft and the champagne sprays.
There might be a few big coats being donned but there are also some big smiles too. It's a brilliant sight to see, the best team in the world proud to be in the UK and representing.

St Helens skipper James Roby told Sky Sports:
"It's a very good game, tough game and credit to the Roosters but and it cold have been a different story.
"Second half we were on top but they got a try and then another one which I'm not sure about, I'm proud of the boys.
"It'll spur us on, we wanted to call ourselves best in the world, we have to watch them lift the trophy, we put in hard work to get here and it'll motivate us."

It was a great game. Saints were more than competitive and matched the Roosters for long periods.
Saints had a lot of pressure in the second half and you just felt they needed to convert some of that into points.
They didn't execute well enough and credit to the Roosters defence - they defended some big plays.

Sydney Roosters stand-off Luke Keary told Sky Sports:
"It was pretty nice in the first half, but then the rain started and it's pretty cold now.
"It's pretty special for us, this finishes off our 2019, but it's also the start of 2020 and it gives us a lot of confidence going back to Australia.
"It's been fun."

There are some Roosters players who looks as though they might be reporting back to Bondi with frostbite, after a searingly chilly evening.
Plenty of slaps on the back and handshakes between everyone.
Roosters coach Trent Robinson spending a bit of time with the fans too.

Sydney Roosters have won the World Club Challenge for a fifth time.
St Helens brave. But it's the NRL premiers who edge a thriller.

Final minute.
Roosters set to retain this trophy.
Alex Walmsley, goal Tommy Makinson
Alex Walmsley smashed his way through on the back of a penalty and St Helens do have a reward and a moment to cheer at the back-end of this final.
It was classic from the front-rower, stomping his way through and brushing aside the cover.
Nice finish for the Saints.
WCC: St Helens 6-20 Sydney Roosters
Penalty for Saints for an escort and then Chris Kendall whirls his arm around to signify a team warning for the Roosters.
Another chance here...
WCC: St Helens 6-20 Sydney Roosters
Alex Walmsley and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves get stuck in, the Kiwi whacking the Great Britain front-row. Penalty.
I can't wait to see them have a hug at the end, that's what it's about.
Saints flinging some shape at the Chooks. Kev Naiqama stopped just shy of the 10...
WCC: St Helens 6-20 Sydney Roosters
St Helens have been game, they have tested the Roosters out but crucially, they will go down here to defeat against the NRL premiers.
Still time to finish with a flourish. The rain tips down but it shouldn't be a damp squib for the Saints.
Sio Siua Taukeiaho
Belted through the uprights. That might be the knock-out blow.
WCC: St Helens 6-18 Sydney Roosters
Saints lose possession as Jake Friend bounces on a loose ball.
Roosters roar forward, with Joseph Manu snared by the Saints defence and he's lifted above the horizontal.

Little bits of execution have been the difference. It's a long way back for Saints from this point.
Luke Keary, goal Sio Siua Taukeiaho
One play, two passes, four points.
Sydney Roosters are hemmed in their own end of the field when a short-ball finds Sio Siua Taukeiaho and he puts the hammer down to storm downfield with the ball.
It looks like he's being caught but Taukeiaho popped the ball onto the supporting Luke Keary who does have the legs to score.
It's pricked the Saints balloon.
Taukeiaho finds the gas to pop over the kick. Roosters now have a buffer.
