We love the story of Greece but let's be real here, it's a bunch of part-timers with a couple of NRL players. We expected to see a healthy scoreline for England today and that's what we got, which is pleasing.

  5. 'I need to pick the best team to win'published at 16:30 British Summer Time 29 October 2022

    FT: England 94-4 Greece

England head coach Shaun Wane, speaking to BBC One: "Job done. It was an awkward fixture. Fair play to Greece, they turned up until the end.

"We did some great stuff today but it will be a different challenge next week.

"Our debutants did a good job. All the good things you saw today came from our staff. It was very much a backroom-staff win.

"Both Ackers and Sneyd did well to suggest they should start. Next week should be really easy for me. I just need to pick the best team to win.

"The players are a little bit beat up today but we will be ready for next week. It should make for a great game."

Does Marc Sneyd start for you? Should it be Ryan Hall and Dom Young on the wings for England in the quarters?

England half-back and player of the match Marc Sneyd, speaking to BBC One: "To put on a scoreline like that in a World Cup. We won't complain, we're very happy.

"I'm just enjoying every minute. I'd like to think I've put my hands up for selection, but that's out of my hands now.

"I'm just enjoying very minute and I just hope I've done enough to get in."

Not Dom Young this time as the winger does really well to stay in play and set up Mike McMeeken for his first score.

McMeeken is England's 11th different scorer today I reckon.
