    Catalans 0-16 Warrington

Gareth Widdop tries to twist and turn his way through a hole in the Catalans' line but he's eventually held up.

Blake Austin picks up the ball and make a decent break before Widdop collects possession again before Tom Davies picks the ball up for the Dragons right before the turnover.

It's still all Warrington but Catalans need to find a first of at least three tries here.

  2. PENALTYpublished at 43 mins

    Catalans 0-16 Warrington

Gareth Widdop kicks another goal after Catalans concede a penalty for a high tackle on Greg Inglis.

Quite a decent kick given the sun is in an inopportune place this evening.

Challenge Cup final: Catalans Dragons 20-14 Warrington Wolves

Steve McNamara's face still beams whenever he is reminded of the day his Catalans Dragons side became the first non-English team to win the Challenge Cup, beating Warrington at Wembley in 2018.

While some of the personnel are no longer in the 'Sang et Or' from that famous day under the arch, the likes of Josh Drinkwater, Fouad Yaha and now-captain Ben Garcia were all part of that success.

The Dracs have been excellent so far this season, but the one team to really get under their skin and cause them problems were Warrington. That defeat was just a few weeks ago... can they stage a comeback to avenge that loss tonight?

  5. Half-timepublished at 18:52 British Summer Time 7 May 2021

    Catalans 0-14 Warrington

Samisoni Langi knocks on as Catalans once again thwart what could have been a promising break up field.

The half comes to an end after Gareth Widdop attempts an audacious drop-goal that doesn't quite make it.

Steve McNamara must have a heck of a team talk in him if the Dragons are to progress to the semi-finals.

  6. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Catalans 0-14 Warrington

Tom Davies scoops up a last-ditch grubber kick from Warrington as Catalans once again get pegged back in their own goal area.

Not long remaining in this half and it's all Warrington so far.

  7. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Catalans 0-14 Warrington

Time ticking down to half-time now and time ticking down for Catalans to avoid being nilled in the first 40 minutes.

The Dragons win another set of six almost on halfway and a promising attack ends when Mike McMeeken spills the ball.

  8. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Catalans 0-14 Warrington

At the other end, Warrington get within just a few metres of finding another try before Gareth Widdop sends a crossfield kick to the corner on the last.

However it sails in to touch as Catalans live to fight another day.

  9. NO TRYpublished at 31 mins

    Catalans 0-14 Warrington

Blimey what a response from Catalans who race upfield and Josh Drinkwater works onto a long kick that takes a wicked bounce before touching down.

Referee Liam Moore initially gives the try but takes it upstairs where it's correctly found to be offside.

    Better stuff from the Dragons.

  10. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Catalans 0-14 Warrington

That's an 80th career try for Daryl Clark who's really shone for Warrington tonight.

Prior to that try, you'd say that Catalans were still within a decent set of six of getting within touching distance of Warrington but things are different now.

The Dragons could do with something special before the break.

  11. try

TRY: Catalans 0-14 Warringtonpublished at 27 mins

    Daryl Clark, goal Gareth Widdop

Jake Mamo looks to work his way through a resolute Catalans back line before he's thwarted by Sam Tomkins.

Chris Hill offloads to Daryl Clark on the last tackle and he touches down. Great stuff from Warrington!

Gareth Widdop makes it three from three as he adds the extras.

  12. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Catalans 0-8 Warrington

It's a frustrating game, this. Neither side look like they're in fifth gear at the minute and it's a stop start match so far.

Warrington are worthy of their lead, but you get the feeling Catalans won't let it lie.

  13. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Catalans 0-8 Warrington

Warrington can't quite make it anywhere near the try-line at the minute, with Blake Austin kicking high on the turnover as they attempt to force Catalans into a mistake.

It comes to nothing however, as Sam Tomkins does well to catch despite the setting Leeds sun in his eyes.

  14. PENALTYpublished at 17 mins

    Catalans 0-8 Warrington

Gareth Widdop kicks another goal for Warrington as they win a penalty as Catalans try, and fail, to win back the ball.

Meanwhile, Gil Dudson returns to the field and the teams are all square once more.

  15. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Catalans 0-6 Warrington

Warrington regain possession deep in their own half after a succession of Catalans sets upfield.

Having dominated the first five minutes, are the Wire running out of steam? The Dragons are doing pretty well despite their man disadvantage.

  16. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Catalans 0-6 Warrington

So, can Warrington make their extra player count in the mean time after Gil Dudson's yellow card?

So far they've not done too badly considering Warrington have raced out of the blocks as they make their first attack into the Wire's half of the field.

  17. SIN-BINpublished at 7 mins

    Catalans 0-6 Warrington

This isn't going well for Catalans at the minute.

No sooner does Toby King spur on Warrington to scoring their first try does he get tackled by Gil Dudson.

There's a break in play as he receives treatment after Dudson, on his 250th career appearance, wrestles him to the ground and referee Liam Moore sends him to the bin for dangerous contact.

  18. try

TRY: Catalans 0-6 Warringtonpublished at 3 mins

    Daryl Clark, goal Gareth Widdop

    What a start!

This try comes thanks to some incredible work down the centre from Toby King as he races unopposed through a hole in the Catalans defence.

He offloads to Daryl Clark, who's clean through to touch down with ease. Gareth Widdop makes no mistake in front of the posts to add the two.

  19. Kick-offpublished at 1 min
