    All English, Welsh and Northern Irish football and professional Scottish football has been postponed this weekend as a mark of respect to Queen Elizabeth II.

    Play in England's third Test against South Africa and golf's PGA Championship has restarted on Saturday after being paused on Friday.

    Rugby league games will go ahead this weekend following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, with the play-off eliminators beginning last night.

    Today's second Super League play-off eliminator between Huddersfield and Salford will be played as scheduled at 13:00 BST.

    The weekend's Women's Super League, Championship and League One fixtures will also proceed.

    Sport has paid tribute after Queen Elizabeth II, the UK's longest-serving monarch, died aged 96.

    Messages poured in from sporting governing bodies and personalities after her death was announced on Thursday.

    A minute's silence was held at Manchester United, Arsenal, West Ham and Hearts' European matches on Thursday evening.

    Meanwhile, God Save The King was sung for the first time at a sporting event prior to Leeds' win over Catalans in last night's Super League play-off eliminator in Perpignan.
