York on the other hand are far newer to the big stage, having recruited a host of new players following head coach Lindsay Anfield's arrival in 2021, with several of her successful Castleford team following her to the LNER Stadium.

Their new-look side has gelled remarkably quickly though, and they have three players competing for the Woman of Steel award in Hollie Dodd, Tara Jane Stanley and Sinead Peach.

As one of rugby league's elite clubs, Leeds are no strangers to the big stage.

They won back-to-back Challenge Cups between 2018 and 2019, were treble winners in 2018 and double winners with the Women's Super League crown in 2019.

However, no silverware has come since then, losing to St. Helens in Grand Final and Challenge Cup showpieces.

They have a chance to end that streak today, after ending Saints' reign as champions in the semi-final.
