I just wonder if it will be significant with Warriors attacking the end of the stadium where their massed ranks of their supporters are housed.

There are thousands of them behind the goal located at the Stretford End of Old Trafford.

    Wigan 2-2 Catalans

Wigan break towards the end of their first set of the half as there is space on their right and burst into the Dragons half.

However, the pass out to Abbas Miski out wide is just behind the Lebanon wing and it checks their momentum.

It's the first time we've seen real open space in the game but Catalans see out the danger by gathering the kick on the last.

It's a calm looking bunch from both sides. I think they realise it's anyone's game as it stands.

The Dragons get us going again.

Can either side take control in the second half?

One try could be enough to win the Super League title. A massive 40 minutes coming up in Manchester.

    HT: Wigan 2-2 Catalans

It's been a match more reminiscent of Catalans Dragons' semi-final tussle with St Helens than Wigan's thrashing of Hull KR, that's for sure.

But it has been an enthralling contest at Old Trafford despite the low score, with Wigan unable to take advantage when Adam Keighran was in the sin-bin.

For all the quality in the wings and the backs, we haven't had too many clear try-scoring opportunities with defences on top and some kicks drifting out of play.

Catalans wing Tom Johnstone made two crucial defensive interventions before the break.

    HT: Wigan 2-2 Catalans

    Stefan Ratchford
Warrington Wolves full-back on BBC Radio Manchester

I don't think either team will be disappointed going in at 2-2. I thought Catalans started the game really well and edged the first 10 minutes but Wigan got themselves right back into it and probably had the better of the field position - then the sin-binning gave Wigan a couple of opportunities.

After he came back on Catalans have had five or six minutes before half-time where they got themselves back into the game.

That was a high quality half of rugby league, folks.

I feel tired just watching. Both sides are proving a tough nut to crack, which was to be expected.

But you have to wonder exactly what will break this deadlock when we return for another exhausting 40 minutes.

In the second half I feel this game will break open.

It will be about the attack as much as the defence.

This is magnificent, top-quality rugby league in a great stadium with a great atmosphere.

I can't wait for the next 40 minutes.

The best is yet to come.

    Wigan 2-2 Catalans

The goal-line drop-out by Catalans is kicked to half-way.

Wigan attempt a long-range drop-goal to take a narrow lead but Harry Smith's effort drops short.

The hooter goes and it's all level after a physical and compelling first half of the Grand Final.

    Wigan 2-2 Catalans

Bosh! Incredible tackle by Tom Johnstone after Wigan full-back Jai Field breaks into space.

It's a huge hit some 20 metres out and is practically a try-saving one.

But then Harry Smith kicks into the Catalans in-goal area and Johnstone has to race back and cover.

He runs the ball dead but knocks his head after clattering into an advertising hoarding.

Two massive defensive moments by the Catalans winger before the break.

It's 2-2 and people might not think this is the most entertaining game. But it is. It is a 10 out of 10 game.

That scoreline reflects two teams playing at their absolute peak.

To the right of the posts some 15 metres out, Adam Keighran composes himself and makes no mistake.

    Catalans draw level.

There is absolutely nothing to separate this side with two minutes to the break.

Offside by Wigan and it's a penalty to Catalans!

I think they'll take the points here, with this game exceptionally tight.

    Wigan 2-0 Catalans

The Dragons press again but the ball is knocked forward by Wigan on the last tackle.

Tyrone May offloads and it hits the arm of Kai Pearce-Paul.

The French club will get a scrum about 15 metres out in front of the sticks.

    A big opportunity.

The sin-bin is up and I think Catalans will be really happy to have it at 2-0, especially with Wigan attacking their line and eventually taking the decision to take the two points on offer.
