"There was one of my absolute pet hates in rugby [see 24 minutes].

"When front five forwards get in space and think they can try and finish themselves.

"It's a simple two-on-one and Dave Attwood didn't make the pass and that was a try beckoning there for Anthony Watson."

Here come England. They are turned over after an attacking scrum but promptly charge down a kick and batter away.

Duane Vermeulen fails to release in a tackle and Owen Farrell gets the hosts on the board.

England explode into life after forcing a turnover on the South Africa 10m line. David Attwood makes 25m before feeding Anthony Watson who goes close, and when England spin it left Jonny May is hauled down just short.

"There does not seem to be the same intensity as against Australia. The Fijians are a big side, but they could tire and Wales should try to wear them down."

Fiji have an opportunity to reduce the deficit to a converted score - and they take it with both hands. Centre Nemani Nadolo clears the posts when Wales are penalised after a burst from Fiji scrum-half Nikola Matawalu.

England are at least getting on top in the scrum and their line-out is working well, but if they're not dropping the ball they're getting turned over at the ruck - this time inside the South Africa 22.

Former Wales fly-half on BBC One

"Very good play by Rhys Priestland, Fiji were exposed on the blind side, it was a very good call. It was given early to the winger and there was very good support play from Scott Williams, his run just held the Fijian players out."

Stodgy old start from England. 0-10 off Care intercept, runners taking ball stationary, ball-carriers knocking on. Too easy to pick off

Error-strewn first quarter from England and they have handed the Boks a 10-point lead.

Are the hosts looking at a dirty dozen - 12 games without a win against South Africa - already?

Alex Cuthbert of Wales scores a try v FijiImage source, Getty Images

Wales put the Fijian scrum under severe pressure - and it leads to their second try of the afternoon. Mike Phillips goes on his own from 10 metres after the visitors are penalised, the Fijians hold out on the line, before Rhys Priestland goes wide right. And there is Alex Cuthbert to stroll in for another simple Wales try.

But it leaves Priestland with another tricky touchline conversion attempt. And again he can't wrap his foot around the egg enough as it sails past the posts.

"Unfortunately there were no options there for England.

"Danny Care picked the ball up and went around the corner, so as soon as he did that, it means the attacker can move.

"England are making too many mistakes. They've got to tighten up their game and be pragmatic in their approach."

It might be his 50th cap but there's no need for Danny Care to be that generous. Boks back on the attack after a lively run from Mike Brown comes to naught for England.

That is surely a try for Jan Serfontein after he picks off an interception. And it is.

Danny Care ambles a couple of paces from the base of a ruck before flipping out a predictable pass to Kyle Eastmond and Serfontein's eyes light up like a six-year-old's on Christmas morning.

Lucky break for Wales as loose play almost lets in the Fijians. Fly-half Rhys Priestland's grip escapes him as the ball slides out of his buttery hands, leading to a foot race between Fiji wing Waisea Nayacalevu and his opposite number George North.

Nayacalevu dips first, only to knock on with the line at his mercy. He touches down - but knows that play will be brought back.

"Anthony Watson on his debut start - a couple of very mature pieces of play there.

"He casually guided Habana out of play there so Mike Brown could catch the ball and then good supporting run up field.

"Just a couple of glimpses of maturity."

"The good and the not-so-good there from England.

"It was a risky option Farrell running from under his own sticks. He had ample time to thump the ball out and get England out of trouble.

"Unnecessarily he put England under pressure there."
