Gloucester are penalised again at a scrum for an early drive - they're under pressure here. It's re-set and the ball emerges out the back of another scrum and Jamie Roberts unusually spills the ball in midfield.
Gloucester are penalised for numbers in the line-out and Quins go for the scrum inside their opponent's 22.
Quins win a penalty at scrum and that's an early feather in Joe Marler's cap.

Danny Care is enjoying himself out there and his kicking in behind Gloucester is constantly putting his side on the front foot. Meanwhile, Jonny May gets his hands on the ball for the first time as Quins are penalised for offside.

Harlequins 8-7 Gloucester
Jamie Roberts is used on the crash ball in midfield and that creates space for Marland Yarde on the right wing as he flies over for Quins' first try of the game. Nick Evans is unsuccessful with the conversion but they have a one-point lead.
Jack Clifford bursts through midfield from inside his own 22 to take Harlequins deep into Gloucester's half. It's a fine run from the Quins flanker and they have a line-out in Gloucester's 22.

Gloucester lose their own line-out and under pressure they concede a penalty from virtually in front of their own posts.
Gloucester's line-out is solid and Grieg Laidlaw clears to relieve the pressure. Quins come roaring back and appear to have an overlap but Joe Marler is penalised for coming in from the side. What a waste.
Scrum-half Danny Care sees space in behind and puts a beautiful chip into Gloucester's 22 and Quins finally have decent territory.
So Gloucester rewarded for a solid start to the game, what have Quins got in response?

Gloucester think they have the first try of the game. Charlie Sharples beats Mike Brown to a high ball, the ball is hacked forward and Jeremy Thrush beats Jack Clifford to touchdown. Grieg Laidlaw sends over the conversion.
James Hook sends through a delightful grubber kick but the bounce evade Billy Twelvetrees and Mike Brown is relieved to see the ball run out of play.
Harlequins intent on kicking away possession and their discipline has been poor in this opening five minutes, conceding two penalties as Gloucester kick into the home 22.
And it's Gloucester fly-half James Hook who gets proceedings under way at Twickenham.
