It never rains but it pours for Scotland. Let's hope there's no repeat from eight years ago...
Italy 10-17 Scotland
Italy just about had the majority of possession in that opening 40 minutes and, impressively, they managed to cross the whitewash with a rare foray into the opposition 22.

BBC Radio 5 Live
There's a terrific atmosphere already outside Twickenham. Apparently. Inside HQ, Mark Chapman is presenting 5 live Sport and bringing you all the build-up between Premier League commentaries.
There's a five star 5 live commentary team bringing you and analysis once the England game gets under way - Chris Jones, Ian Robertson, former England World Cup winner Matt Dawson and ex-Ireland winger Denis Hickie.
Thankfully, because it's radio, we don't have to look at Chappers' woolly hat...

Peter Wright
Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra
"It has been a good game. Both teams are trying to play. Wee mistakes are making it more exciting. Scotland making mistakes at the line-out and unforced handling errors will really cost them against bigger teams."
Peter Wright
Former Scotland prop on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra
"Overall, Scotland will be devastated they conceded that try from Italy. 30 seconds of good rugby from the Italians has got them back in the game."

Matthew Armstrong: If this game was all scrums for next 50 minutes it would still easily be best of the tournament - both teams putting my Welsh one to shame.

Italy 10-17 Scotland
Italy struggling in the scrum and Scotland's supremacy at the set-piece gives Greig Laidlaw the chance to extend his team's advantage before the break.
The captain's effort has the power, but his effort lacks accuracy. Just the seven points between the teams at half-time.
Stuart Hogg is beaten to the high ball by Leonardo Sarto and that gives Italy's fans hope.. they raise their voices, they sense an opportunity, but the hosts fail to strike, sticking the ball up the jumper instead of going wide and a potential try-scoring opportunity goes whistling into the Roman wind.
Here's why Vern Cotter would have been frustrated by Italy's try...

"Given what Italy have shown so far, coach Vern Cotter will be frustrated Italy have scored that try and so will the players. Mistakes again costing Scotland."
The Scottish forwards use their brawn to push their opponents back and the Azzurri are penalised for not driving straight.
Five minutes of the half remaining and the visitors have a line-out on the Italy 22... they attempt to start a rolling maul, but Greig Laidlaw then decides to set the backline in motion...
The visitors recycling possession... Finn Russell attempts to dance through Italy's defensive line but the outside-half is isolated and gifts Italy possession.
A trumpeter somewhere inside the Stadio Olympico is now giving his lungs a workout, buoyed by his team's resurgence.
Italy have put-in at the scrum near the halfway line... eventually, it will all be hunky-dory and legal... eventually...
John Beattie
Former Scotland international on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra
"That is a good try. They sucked in defenders and had enough runners on the outside but the defence wasn’t good enough for Scotland. Unfortunately, Mark Bennett missed the tackle that gave them the chance."
Italy 10-17 Scotland
Hello Italy, welcome to the match.
Michele Campagnaro like a wrecking ball to Scottish foundations and, with the Scots rattled, Italy switch play...Gonzalo Garcia uses his muscle to make inroads into the Scottish 22 and the supporting hooker Leonardo Ghiraldini gets his reward, diving over on the left.
A brilliant touchline conversion from Kelly Haimona.

John Beattie

"Laidlaw is showing he is a consistent kicker. Scotland need to keep going and get another score to really demoralise the Italians."

Imogen Sebba: We're all Scottish for the next hour, OK?
We're nearly 30 minutes into this match and, as the graphic illustrates, Italy have yet to seriously threaten Scotland's tryline.
There's no need for pretty pictures to show that Scotland are very much on top.
