Turns out it was the right option.

Leicester secure the line-out and from that, in typical Tigers fashion, captain Tom Youngs pushes over for the try.

Owen Williams slots the extras and Leicester have a healthy lead.

There's a lengthy discussion going on as Leicester decide whether to take a shot at goal or not.

But the line-out option has won.

Phew, I wasn't sure if we were ever going to get back to the rugby.

Leicester are pressing at the start of the second half.

They're using the forwards to get on the front foot before moving the ball out wide.

And they've drawn the penalty too as Bath are penalised for offside.

Leicester have made a change at half time, which we believe is tactical.

JP Pietersen is replaced by Jack Roberts and Peter Betham moves to the wing.

It was all Leicester for the first 20 minutes, as Owen Williams got the scoreboard ticking before Brendon O'Connor crossed after an electric break from Telusa Veainu.

But Bath clawed their way back into the game through a piece of brilliance from Semesa Rokoduguni.

Williams made it a seven-point lead just before the hooter, and you would think Richard Cockerill will be the happier of the two coaches at the break.

  8. Penalty (Williams)published at 40 mins

    Leicester 14-7 Bath

With 30 seconds left in the half, Owen Williams slots an easy kick to stretch Tigers' lead to seven points.

JP Pietersen sees a huge gap in the Bath defence and sets off. He decides against passing though with Peter Betham on his outside and he's brought down five metres short of the line.

Leicester recycle the ball and Matthew Tait goes for the kick out to Betham on the right wing.

But we go back for the penalty and Leicester will have the chance to extend their lead.

Leicester will want to end his half how they started it as Telusa Veainu shows some brilliant footwork to make a half-break.

The crowd are on their feet but Mike Williams loses possession and the pressure is lost.

Tigers struggled with turnovers in their last outing and against Wasps so there could be some stern words from Richard Cockerill at the interval.

Bath are back in possession on the half-way line as George Ford chooses to kick, but Telusa Veainu slices the clearance and Bath have a line-out in a good position.

Tom Ellis is penalised for getting himself in the wrong position though and Tigers escape.

  12. Missed penalty (Ford)published at 30 mins

    Leicester 11-7 Bath

Three easy points missed there, and the difference stays at four.

The momentum has certainly swung Bath's way as the Welford Road crowd have gone quiet.

George Ford's kick for the try may not have gone to plan, but his next two have been sublime.

His cross-field kick finds Semesa Rokoduguni once again but he's wrapped up by the Leicester defence.

Bath have been completely outplayed so far this afternoon but they've come up with a try courtesy of a superb piece of skill.

George Ford's high kick looked to have been sliced but Semesa Rokoduguni plucks the ball out of the air and powers over the line.

A sensational finish means his team are right back in this game.

  15. Penalty (Williams)published at 21 mins

    Leicester 11-0 Bath

But the penalty goes against Bath, the referee giving Marcos Ayerza the nod this time .

Henry Thomas is adjudged to have collapsed the scrum and Owen Williams extend's Leicester's lead.

    Leicester 8-0 Bath

Leicester have been utterly dominant so far and they finally have a try to show for it.

Bath need to find a way into this game before it gets away from them.

They have a scrum on half way, but Marcos Ayerza ends up on the floor and we'll reset.

  18. try

    A vintage Leicester try.

They steal the ball at the lineout, and Telusa Veainu sets off down the field.

He offloads to Peter Betham who flings the ball inside to Brendon O'Connor and he crosses the whitewash.

Owen Williams' kick hits the post but Leicester are eight points to the good.

    Leicester 3-0 Bath

George Ford finally gets Bath some field position as he kicks to touch from the scrum penalty.

They're starting to find some fluency now as Ford looks to control the game with ball in hand.

He's using every blade of grass at Welford Road as he puts an intelligent kick into the corner.
