Still 35 minutes to play and now Exeter can play show business rugby with the bonus point already in the bag.

Well it was a very solid start for Worcester who'd had all of the ball in the second-half.

But the ball is spilled, Will Chudley races out and Exeter show slick hands as they counter from deep with winger Olly Woodburn the grateful one on the end.

Fly-half Gareth Steenson keeps up his perfect afternoon from the tee and this could be any score the Chiefs want.

Better from Worcester as fly-half Jamie Shillcock kicks Exeter to within five metres of their own line with Josh Adams chasing with interest.

The Chiefs use that driving maul again for some good defensive work and push themselves out of danger.

Exeter number 10 Gareth Steenson gets us underway under the floodlights at Sandy Park.

The Chiefs on the hunt for one more try for the try bonus point. Worcester need to simply be more competitive.

Warriors starting with 14-men as Darren Barry begins in the sin bin.

Nearly ready to get going in the second-half.

I imagine that was a hard half-time team talk for the Worcester head coach...

After the conclusion of the match today we'll be halfway through the Premiership fixtures for the weekend.

Tomorrow the champions host Gloucester, Danny Cipriani faces his old club for the first time while there's an intriguing match at the Twickenham Stoop:

    • Saracens v Gloucester (13:00 GMT)
    • Wasps v Sale Sharks (14:30 GMT)
    • Harlequins v Bath (15:15 GMT)

Of course, live text and radio commentary is available of all three of those games with us.

Of course, this is not your only rugby offering today.

Wales face South Africa and Ireland host Australia in the 17:30 GMT games and you can follow those matches here, should you wish.

Earlier this afternoon England were 27-14 winners against Argentina, while Scotland won Scotland 43-16 Georgia in their game against Georgia.

So what did you make of that first 40 minutes?

Are Exeter back in the form that saw them face Saracens in the final last season? Would Worcester be in more bother if Bristol had not lost every game so far?

Jack Yeandle, Will Chudley and a penalty try, as well as a penalty knocked over by Gareth Steenson, who has converted all of those tries, has put Exeter in a commanding position.

Jamie Shillcock knocked over three points but Worcester have offered very little going forward so far.

There is wave after wave of black shirts running at Worcester at the moment, who are getting a lot of tackling practice in.

Exeter get up to the 22 where eventually Warriors manage to stop the flow and get the ball back.

I mention referee Matthew O'Grady there, this the first Premiership match he has taken charge of.

I imagine he would have wanted a routine game, one team in charge with few controversial decisions.

    He has one.

It's intense for Worcester, they just can't keep the ball in Exeter's half. Every time the Chiefs roll into the Warriors' 22, they look destined to barge over the try line.

Try (Penalty try, con Steenson)published at 33 mins

    Exeter 24-3 Worcester

As predicted, Exeter set the driving maul and very predicatbly they cross from it - well they would have had it not been brought down.

Worcester lock Darren Barry is shown a yellow card for stopping the try and referee Matthew O'Grady runs under the posts as the hosts would've scored but for that.

Gareth Steenson is up to 10 points already and this game is only heading one way.

    Exeter 17-3 Worcester

Exeter are camped inside Worcester territory. The big boys in the forwards are hitting lines off rucks and they are keeping it tight and compact.

The inevitable penalty comes and the Chiefs kick to the corner, five metres out.

  16. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Exeter 17-3 Worcester

The line-out goes from bad to worse for Worcester. This time they manage to take the ball, but they are unable to recycle it and that will be an Exeter put into touch.

Chiefs with a scrum on the 22, I bet a certain number eight called Waldrom might fancy a dart here...

  17. Penalty (Shillcock)published at 27 mins

    Exeter 17-0 Worcester

Some tight Worcester forward play earns them a penalty which Jamie Shillcock steps up and knocks over.

    Worcester on the board.

    Exeter 17-0 Worcester

It is already beginning to look like damage limitation for a Worcester side who have a number of injury problems.

Academy hooker Jack Singleton has missed two throws in on his first Premiership start and there has not been much go forward from his team mates.

It really is men against boys stuff here for the Warriors. Every time they make a mistake, they're paying for it on the scoreboard.

That man Thomas Waldrom goes so, so close initially as he is brought down inches away from another powerful run.

Exeter keep their heads and work the ball smartly for scrum-half Will Chudley darts through a gap.

Gareth Steenson makes it three from three for the afternoon for him.
