    Bristol 18-13 Worcester

Worcester work the ball better from the set-piece and get fast service from the line-out to set up a good passage of play.

Some nice hands from Ryan Mills in the midfield but again, Warriors have a wobble and the danger is snuffed out.

But once again play breaks down and Warriors knock the ball on.

It's been a scrappy afternoon for Worcester so far and they look short on confidence with only one win in the Premiership this season.

    Bristol 18-13 Worcester

Worcester have a penalty as Bristol are penalised by Wayne Barnes for coming in at the side.

They punt the ball down field and they need to get this line-out right this time.

From the maul they win a penalty and they're camped on Bristol's five-metre line...

Mark Chivers: I'm a Warriors fan and that was never a red card. Pisi had his eyes on the ball the whole time and competed 50-50.

Sam: Rules need changing with air bound collisions. If players jump they should be liable for their own safety (to a degree).

A better start from the Warriors as Na'ama Leleimalefaga drives into the Bristol 22, but once again Worcester cough up the ball.

They've got a man advantage too following Tusi Pisi's red card in the first half but they've struggled to work through the phases so far this afternoon.

Worcester survive and they go into half time with a four-point deficit.

An exciting first half...three tries, plenty of penalties, a sin bin and a red card.

If you've still got room for a few half-time mince pies, I'll see you back here after the break!

Warriors terrible form at the line-out continues and Jaba Bregvadze's throw is stolen by Bristol.

The home side are up to the five-metre line now and they're trying to creep over the whitewash.

A crucial end to the first period for both sides.

Worcester have given Bristol far too much space this afternoon and they find open field once again down the right wing.

Chris Pennell is the only man home for Warrios and makes a last-ditch tackle to deny Bristol their third try, but the home side retain possession.

Warriors will be desperate to keep Bristol out for the next three minutes.

  12. Penalty (Woodward)published at 34 mins

    Bristol 18-13 Worcester

And this time Jason Woodward is successful.

Bristol extend their lead to five points with five minutes left to play in this first half.

  13. Sin-bin (Barry)published at 33 mins

    Bristol 15-13 Worcester

Worcester get the penalty just inside Bristol's 22 and rather than keeping the scoreboard ticking over, they opt for the corner.

Eight metres out and they secure good ball but it comes loose and Warriors have to scramble their defence.

And the sides will be even at 14 men-a-piece for the next 10 minutes at Darren Barry is sent to the sin bin.

    I spoke too soon.

Jason Woodward misses the target and Bristol's lead stays at two points.

This has been a game with more twists and turns than Torvill and Dean's Bolero.

And we've not even made it to the half-hour mark yet.

A brief pause as we set for the scrum, but Worcester are accused of bringing down the set-piece and Bristol will have a shot at an easy three points.

    Bristol 15-13 Worcester

Bristol hooker Ross McMillan on BBC Radio Bristol: "Bristol just edged and edged in field from the maul and created a huge gap on the blindside.

"If you are going to let players like Will Cliff and Tom Varndell have that much space then they are going to take it."

    And it's now advantage Bristol.

Tom Varndell with a spectacular run on the wing. He's tripped, stays in touch and gets up again to score his second try of the game. And all with 14 men.

Jason Woodward misses a difficult conversion but Bristol are back in the lead.

    Bristol 10-13 Worcester

Worcester are in possession again on the Bristol 22-metre line.

Some nice hands as the ball goes through the backs but Wayne Barnes' whistles goes again and this time it goes Bristol's way. A good kick which gets them out of their half.

And Worcester have got a try.

From the maul Darren Barry spins, then crashes his way over the line before Chris Pennell adds the conversion.

Worcester take the lead for the first time this afternoon with 20 minutes played.

    Bristol 10-6 Worcester

Wayne Barnes is getting a little bit of stick from the home crowd as he gives another decision against Bristol.

Dewald Potgeiter makes a good tackle, but the crowd don't like it and it's an extremely hostile atmosphere at Ashton Gate.

Worcester are in possession, they get a maul going from the set-piece and this looks dangerous for Bristol...
