A rapid start to the second-half by England, who are pressuring the Italy defence in the way that was expected of them before kick-off.

As we approach the hour mark Italy have made 88 tackles to the 81 by Eddie Jones' side.

England get in on the act as Nathan Hughes comes skirting around the tackle to man-mark opposite number Sergio Parisse.

It is a good loophole to exploit, but I don't know if these tactics would make for a better spectacle long term.

Charlie Latto:  Changing scrum halves at 51 mins!? when he's just scored a great try? why!?

Tom Barnes:  Stunning try. Footwork, offloads from the forwards All Blacks style - backs finishing with class. Daly has to be a Lion.

Will Smith:  Love watching how England react to this tactic, a very different test.

Callum Sparrowhawk:  If every team does this, rugby will be ruined.

England change things up at scrum-half with Danny Care giving way to Ben Youngs.

Care shrugs his shoulders in exasperation on the bench as he explains to Tom Wood what it is like to pick up the ball and see a kaleidoscope of colour rather than the familiar hands of George Ford.

When the ball gets slow there, it's very difficult to get the game going with Italian players wandering around everywhere.

I'm wondering what's going to happen next week at club and youth rugby. It's opened a can of worms.

The West Car Park regulars are spluttering on their sausage rolls.

Italy reprise their first-half tactics of man-marking England runners after refusing to create an offside line at the breakdown.

It looks weird. It feels weird. But it is legal.

    Despite the booing.

Harrison Short:  Danny Care proving once again that he has the cutting edge - making a case to play ahead of Youngs permanently?

Sophie Morrison:  That's more like it.

Ronan Ward:  Great second half already! England coming back with the answers here!

Robert Fletcher:  Think "the cleaners" might have opened.

England are really getting into their stride.

Joe Launchbury comes galloping out of his own half after claiming the kick-off and catching Italy by surprise by running rather than turning and setting up the maul.

England have found a way to counter Italy's tactics and it is through the middle as we said in the first half.

    A clinical finish from England.

    Elliot Daly, con Farrell

You won't like them when Eddie Jones gets angry.

England playing lights-on, heads-up rugby, flipping the ball out of the tackle in the forwards to prevent Italy having a breakdown to spoil.

And then there is space out wide.

Elliot Daly goes into the corner off Ben Te'o's well-timed pass.

    Farrell lands his conversion.

Eddie Jones spent a lot of that half-time out of the dressing room.

I guess his message would've been, 'right you lot, you got us into this mess, get us out.'

    Danny Care

England have been right back on it.

Maro Itoje keeps Italy from getting the ball to ground from the line-out, forcing the England scrum.

England's front row shove back their Italy counterpart to earn the penalty.

And, sharp as a tack, Danny Care taps, goes and flies into the corner past a flat-footed Italy defence.

Owen Farrell still off target with the boot though.

Well, that is an immediate improvement.

Elliot Daly unfurls a left boot so cultured it has a degree in fine art and a wine cellar packed with oaky bottles of Bordeaux.

The England wing pings a superb nudge down into the corner to put Italy back on their own line.

I'd still have England as favourites to win this.

But they need to do the simple things right. The kicking from hand was terrible in the first half.
