This afternoon may have seen some interesting results in the Premiership, but we're all about looking forward rather than being obsessed with the past.

Sunday brings a mouthwatering derby between Bristol and Bath, while Premiership leaders Wasps take to the field at home to Gloucester.

With kick-offs at 13:00 GMT, it'll be the perfect warm-up for England's Six Nations match against Italy - see you then.

A win is a win... well, it seems that might be the way Northampton look at their victory over Worcester as it wasn't the most entertaining Premiership fixture. And that is putting it mildly.

But wait, there's MORE!

It's expected to be a formality for England tomorrow afternoon at Twickenham, as they look to make it three wins from three against bottom side Italy.

While it might be seen as a run-of-the-mill match by some, it's sure to be a day to remember for Worcester centre Ben Te'o who makes his first international start.

Twice Newcastle led Exeter in the first half, but the Chiefs proved too strong as a bonus-point win lifts them to second in the table.

It was a particularly memorable day for fly-half Joe Simmonds, who was perfect with the boot in his first Premiership start.

Victory for Saracens ends a mini-drought for for the defending champions, but it is not enough to keep them second in the table...

Northampton win very easily in the end but it's been a poor game. Saints move back into the top six with a much-needed victory but there's not too much to take from a lacklustre display.

Worcester offered very little and remain in a relegation battle, six points above bottom-club Bristol.

And there it is confirmed, Exeter up to second with victory over Newcastle.

Apart from substitutions there is nothing to report from a poor second period at Franklin's Gardens. Neither side can get a grip on the game and gain any territory. 

It's a poor game now, the ground is quiet, and Saints are far enough ahead at the moment to be comfortable.

Mark McCall's side pile forward in search of a fourth try, which would bring a bonus point, but they are made to settle for the win.

Saracens were a wounded animal but, led by the excellent Chris Ashton, have managed to keep Sale at arms' length.

The visitors were plucky and extremely dangerous in parts - they may argue they deserved a losing bonus point.

A third Worcester penalty - this time they kick to within 15 yards. Substitute Chris Pennell makes a break off the first phase but again Worcester are wasteful as Michael Paterson forces a turnover. 

Northampton were awful in the second period last week at Newcastle. They aren't too much better here but force a chance as Harry Mallinder puts Ben Foden through on the left wing, he's held up close to the line and Worcester then force a turnover. Twenty minutes to play.

This has been pretty ordinary stuff so far in the second period but Worcester force another penalty, this one almost in front of the sticks, but Ryan Mills hooks it wide! 

Francois Hougaard is more than often all that is good about Worcester and here he works around the fringes well before drawing a penalty at the breakdown.

It's a makeable shot at goal for Ryan Mills but has missed and a early chance for the visitors goes begging.
