This afternoon may have seen some interesting results in the Premiership, but we're all about looking forward rather than being obsessed with the past.

Sunday brings a mouthwatering derby between Bristol and Bath, while Premiership leaders Wasps take to the field at home to Gloucester.

With kick-offs at 13:00 GMT, it'll be the perfect warm-up for England's Six Nations match against Italy - see you then.

  2. Saints move into top six with Worcester winpublished at 17:15

    Northampton 24-14 Worcester

A win is a win... well, it seems that might be the way Northampton look at their victory over Worcester as it wasn't the most entertaining Premiership fixture. And that is putting it mildly.

    But wait, there's MORE!

It's expected to be a formality for England tomorrow afternoon at Twickenham, as they look to make it three wins from three against bottom side Italy.

While it might be seen as a run-of-the-mill match by some, it's sure to be a day to remember for Worcester centre Ben Te'o who makes his first international start.

    Exeter 36-14 Newcastle

Twice Newcastle led Exeter in the first half, but the Chiefs proved too strong as a bonus-point win lifts them to second in the table.

It was a particularly memorable day for fly-half Joe Simmonds, who was perfect with the boot in his first Premiership start.

    Northampton 24-14 Worcester

Northampton win very easily in the end but it's been a poor game. Saints move back into the top six with a much-needed victory but there's not too much to take from a lacklustre display.

Worcester offered very little and remain in a relegation battle, six points above bottom-club Bristol.

  8. try

Try (Heem, con Lamb)published at 17:00 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

    Northampton 24-14 Worcester

Worcester have successive penalties close to the Northampton line, eventually Bryce Heem streaks through the defence for a consolation score. Replacement outside half ryan Lamb adds the extras but it's scant consolation for Worcester.

    Exeter 36-14 Newcastle

And there it is confirmed, Exeter up to second with victory over Newcastle.

  10. try

Try (Haywood, con Myler)published at 16:50 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

    Northampton 24-7 Worcester

Finally some action as Northampton win a very kickable penalty on the 22 but they decide to kick for the corner to really kill the game. The maul forms 10 yards from the Worcester line and Saints surge forward.

Mikey Haywood dummies and goes himself off the back of the maul and two phases later Saints think they've scored - but they're held up.

Back for penalty advantage and from a second maul Haywood gets his second try of the afternoon. Myler converts splendidly again.

  11. try

Try (Short, con missed Hooley)published at 16:46 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

    Exeter 36-14 Newcastle

James Short is over for his fifth try in two games!

And what a finish, getting on the end of a fine Will Hooley grubber kick.

  12. Northampton 17-7 Worcesterpublished at 16:42 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

Apart from substitutions there is nothing to report from a poor second period at Franklin's Gardens. Neither side can get a grip on the game and gain any territory.

It's a poor game now, the ground is quiet, and Saints are far enough ahead at the moment to be comfortable.

  13. try

Try (Skinner, con Simmonds)published at 16:37 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

    Exeter 31-14 Newcastle

A handing error is punished by Exeter.

From mistake to Sam Skinner's try, it took just three phases. Ruthless, that.

And Joe Simmonds lands his fifth kick of the day. Perfect at the tee in his first Premiership start. What a day to remember as could be the win that takes Exeter to second in the table.

    Saracens 29-18 Sale

Mark McCall's side pile forward in search of a fourth try, which would bring a bonus point, but they are made to settle for the win.

Saracens were a wounded animal but, led by the excellent Chris Ashton, have managed to keep Sale at arms' length.

The visitors were plucky and extremely dangerous in parts - they may argue they deserved a losing bonus point.

  15. Northampton 17-7 Worcesterpublished at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

A third Worcester penalty - this time they kick to within 15 yards. Substitute Chris Pennell makes a break off the first phase but again Worcester are wasteful as Michael Paterson forces a turnover.

Northampton were awful in the second period last week at Newcastle. They aren't too much better here but force a chance as Harry Mallinder puts Ben Foden through on the left wing, he's held up close to the line and Worcester then force a turnover. Twenty minutes to play.

  16. try

Try (Neild, con missed)published at 16:25 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

    Saracens 29-18 Sale

    Crash, bang, wallop.

Pure strength and power sees replacement Cameron Neild shove himself over for Sale's second try.

The conversion from AJ MacGinty, even considering the conditions, is well below-par.

Both sides chasing a bonus point with three minutes to go.

  17. Missed Penalty (Mills)published at 16:23 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

    Northampton 17-7 Worcester

This has been pretty ordinary stuff so far in the second period but Worcester force another penalty, this one almost in front of the sticks, but Ryan Mills hooks it wide!

  18. Missed Penalty (Mills)published at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

    Northampton 17-7 Worcester

Francois Hougaard is more than often all that is good about Worcester and here he works around the fringes well before drawing a penalty at the breakdown.

It's a makeable shot at goal for Ryan Mills but has missed and a early chance for the visitors goes begging.

  19. try

Try (Penalty, con Simmonds)published at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

    Exeter 24-14 Newcastle

Exeter backed themselves all the way there.

Repeat penalties, scrums collapsing, pressure building and three points were begging to be kicked.

Eventually, however, the whistle goes and the penalty try is awarded. Joe Simmonds lands the extras and it is a 10-point lead for the hosts.

  20. try

Try (Earle, con missed)published at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2017

    Saracens 29-13 Sale

It'll be Nathan Earle's name going down against that Saracens try, but massive credit must go to Chris Ashton and Brad Barritt.

The duo play the decisive, quick passes to allow the alarmingly quick Earle to cross in the corner.

Kicking from the corner in these winds is incredibly tough, and Alex Lozowski's conversion misses.
