Dave Dennis is also back on for Exeter after that bruising collision with Mako Vunipola.

Nobody wants to be off the park at the moment in a black shirt to miss this chance of reaching the final.

What a noise that Jack Nowell try has created here at Sandy Park.

There's still a long way to go yet, but Chiefs fans are starting to dream that maybe they can unseat the best side in Europe from their domestic throne.

    Exeter 13-6 Saracens

Mako Vunipola is cleared to come back on for Saracens and to be honest, they need him here to stem this Exeter tide.

Plenty of momentum behind the Chiefs and Thomas Waldrom makes a big burst through some tackles, but eventually a half-chance is spurned due to a knock-on just inside the Saracens 22.

It's going all Exeter Chiefs' way. We're only four minutes into the second half but it's great to have that momentum.

It was the first chance to apply pressure off a Sarries' mistake and they scored. Big, big, big score.

Big score from Jack Nowell and what have Saracens got in the way of a reply?

Harry Winter: Surely there must be a better way of determining a winner than place kicking after extra time? Not that I can name one..

Matthew Williams: Chiefs are well in this, defence amazing..with the wind in the second half - hope the crowd can get us over the line!!

They certainly are now with that Jack Nowell try Matthew!

It's try time for Exeter Chiefs and Jack Nowell!

Phil Dollman was the man to make the initial break in the middle and then Ollie Devoto found the space on the right.

He then found England man Nowell to his right to barge over and finish the job. Gareth Steenson adds the conversion.

Another passage of play with some big hits all over the park.

Mako Vunipola and Dave Dennis collide and the Chiefs man is down receiving some treatment.

The England prop is also being looked at and he's heading off for a head injury assessment with Titi Lamositele on for him.

Dave Dennis is back on his feet and also being assessed, Mitch Lees takes his place.

As well as a place in the Premiership final at stake today, there's a chance for two teams to grab the remaining spot in next season's European Champions Cup.

Northampton host Connacht at Franklin's Gardens in their play-off semi-final, which kicks off in about half an hour.

The winner will face Stade Francais next weekend after they beat Cardiff Blues 46-21 last night in Paris.

We'll bring you updates from that match throughout the afternoon and you can also hear that one locally on BBC Radio Northampton.

    Wasps v Leicester (17:15 BST)

Don't forget, this is just part one of a Premiership semi-final double header here this afternoon on BBC Sport.

Once we're done and dusted at Sandy Park, we'll be heading to the West Midlands and the Ricoh Arena in Coventry for Wasps against Leicester.

That should also be an absolute barn-stormer....

Beardless: Exeter haven't done enough in the first half. They need to be going in ahead because Sarries will just up the intensity.

  15. 'Advantage Chiefs'published at 15:23 British Summer Time 20 May 2017

    HT: Exeter 6-6 Saracens

    Jeremy Guscott
Former England centre on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

The high intensity and defensive line speed of Exeter has put Sarries under pressure but I think 6-6 is fair.

Exeter will say 'we know this ground better than anyone'. That's probably why they had the wind in their faces in the first half. They'll have the wind behind them after the break so kick to the corners, keep Sarries pinned down and they can score the points to win.

Right now I think it's advantage Chiefs.

  16. What happens if the scores are level at full-time?published at 15:21 British Summer Time 20 May 2017

    HT: Exeter 6-6 Saracens

It's knockout rugby this afternoon, so if we see a repeat of the last time these two sides met in January come full-time with the scores level, then we'll go to extra time.

    Ollie DevotoImage source, Getty Images

How will that work? We'll have two periods of 10 minutes each way and if the scores are still level after that, the winner will be the team who has scored the most tries (including in extra time).

If we're still level after that, we'll have a place kick competition to decide the winner.

And that's where things get even more interesting.....

A coin toss will determine at which end the competition will be at and another coin toss will determine which team goes first or second.

Each team will nominate three kickers on the pitch at the end of extra time, designated kicker 1, kicker 2 and kicker 3.

Each kicker will take two kicks apiece in the following order:

    • Kicker 1 from each team will take a kick from in front of the posts on the 22m line.
    • Kicker 2 from each team will take a kick 15m in from the right touch line on the 22m line.
    • Kicker 3 from each team will take a kick 15m in from the left touch line on the 22m line.
    • Kicker 1 from each team will take a kick from in front of the posts on the 40m line.
    • Kicker 2 from each team will take a kick 15m in from the right touch line on the 40m line.
    • Kicker 3 from each team will take a kick 15m in from the left touch line on the 40m line.
    • If still tied there will be a “sudden death competition” from in front of the posts on the 40m line.

    Got all that? Good.

We'll be testing your memory later if we have to!

Still nothing between them as they head for the sheds at the break.

A half of two halves here at Sandy Park. Exeter soaked up everything Saracens could throw at them early on and now they're the ones on top.

They've had the best chances to score, but the champions have built a red wall on their try-line to keep the Chiefs out.

Heading towards the break. Lots of ball for Exeter, but still no way through.

Jack Nowell almost gets there but he spills it forward in contact as he looks for the offload to Stuart Townsend to run in under the posts.

Saracens fly-half Owen Farrell is down receiving treatment after a bruising collision with Thomas Waldrom earlier in that passage of play.
