    Johnny Sexton

Luke McGrath darts through a gap in the Glasgow defence and finds Johnny Sexton on his shoulder. Glasgow manage to swallow up the Leinster fly-half but then comes wave after wave of attacks on the home line.

Brute force doesn't work, so the visitors get fancy with lock Scott Fardy showing a fabulous delicate touch to feed Sexton, who touches down near the posts before adding the extras.

Finn Russell has been successful with both of his kicks so far this afternoon

Finn Russell is playing flat as you like, fixing defenders and putting runners through gaps. His little dink kicks have produced mixed results so far, but that won't deter him from trying the unexpected.

  7. Can Glasgow respond?published at 14:05 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    HT: Glasgow 10-17 Leinster

Glasgow need to find something special after the interval.

They went through with four wins last season but losing the first two games would leave them with a mountain to climb.

They don't slip up at Scotstoun very often though...

The wet conditions have made for a slippery ball at Scotstoun

A really troubling end to the half for Glasgow. First, their scrummage was badly beaten up and that penalty allowed Sexton to kick for the corner. That in itself was a gutsy decision, passing up a shot at goal to go for the try. It was vindicated though as Warriors were powerless to prevent the Leinster rolling line-out maul heading towards the line for Healy to go over again.

Next score is crucial here. If it goes against Glasgow then it's a long way back.

  9. Half-time Glasgow Warriors 10-17 Leinsterpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

Well, well. The Warriors are up against it here since Leinster have been battling against a strong breeze.

It's been an even, absorbing contest but the visitors just seem that bit sharper when it comes to decision making.

  10. try

    Cian Healy

Glasgow just can't handle the power of the Leinster drive once they get rumbling forward. Cian Healy is over for his second try of the day.

Johnny Sexton's low conversion just about creeps over.

That has silenced the home crowd.

  11. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 10-10 Leinster

With a penalty coming, Johnny Sexton releases Fergus McFadden but he can't evade a great sliding tackle from Leo Sarto.

Sexton then kicks into the corner...

  12. Missed penaltypublished at 39 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 10-10 Leinster

Stuart Hogg certainly has the distance as he goes for the posts from near halfway. Accuracy is another matter. It flies well wide.

  13. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 10-10 Leinster

Ali Price snaffles a fumbled ball but Glasgow can't profit as Tommy Seymour can't hold on to a clever pass under pressure from Jamie Bhatti. With an advantage, a scrum comes the way of the hosts but it's all very stop-start in the tricky conditions.

  14. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 10-10 Leinster

Another good interception from Leinster breaks up a Glasgow attack started by a good surge from Tim Swinson.

Finn Russell then comes a cropper, trying to slide on the turf to gather and gives away a rather awkward knock-on.

  15. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 10-10 Leinster

Stuart Hogg gets a head of steam up as he races from his own half but Joey Carbery gets a paw to the ball to intercept the attempted offload.

Tim Swinson is back on for the Warriors after a check on that earlier bang to the head.

  16. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 10-10 Leinster

The Glasgow pack are penalised and the pressure is off Leinster, although Johnny Sexton's low kick into the wind doesn't get very far.

  17. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 10-10 Leinster

Leo Sarto crashes through a couple of tackles as Glasgow make good ground. Finn Russell is maybe in too much of a hurry as he chips to the corner and the ball again skips out of play after a bounce on the soggy plastic.

  18. Warriors lose Wilsonpublished at 27 mins

    Glasgow Warriors 10-10 Leinster

Ryan Wilson is in the wars again; a clash of heads this time. The Glasgow captain doesn't want to go but he's led off by the medical team and Rob Harley is on as a permanent replacement.

Tim Swinson is also down, with Scott Cummings taking his place in the second row for now.

  19. Bruising contest at Scotstounpublished at 13:31 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Glasgow Warriors 10-10 Leinster

    BBC Sport Scotland at Scotstoun

'Brutal' is a word you'll hear a lot from Glasgow head coach Dave Rennie. He wants Warriors to become more brutal. Leinster are a brutal side. Guess what? The opening 25 minutes have been brutal.

Leinster hammered away at the Glasgow line, very much as Exeter did last weekend, and the dam eventually burst. Anything Glasgow get today they'll have to work incredibly hard for.

  20. try

    Cian Healy

Glasgow repel a couple of charges from the line-out but Cian Healy finally bulldozes through from close range.

Johnny Sexton's conversion swirls all over the place in the wind but catches the inside of the post to make it through.
