Facing the European champions in a top of the table clash - what a game to make your first Premiership start.

Exeter's 22-year-old fly-half Joe Simmonds comes in for veteran Gareth Steenson at 10 today.

He's from good stock though - his older brother is England back-row Sam - but Joe has made just three late appearances in the league this season and two in the Champions Cup.

But if his brother's impact over the past 12 months is anything to go by, this may well be the first start of many in an Exeter shirt.

    Brent Pilnick
    BBC Sport

There was no way this afternoon's big game at between Exeter and Saracens at Sandy Park was going to be called off.

Exeter roped in everyone to clear the snow - even chief executive Tony Rowe picked up a shovel to help remove snow from the pitch.

The good news is the snow has more or less melted, so barring some sort of unforeseen weather catastrophe this afternoon's game will go ahead.
