Argentina 3-31 Scotland
Argentina force an attacking line-out on the Scots 5m line. Can they make it count?
Unsurprisingly, the answer is no. They attempt a pre-planned move but the ball is fumbled and lost forward.
To add insult to injury, the Argentine scrum - once a source of huge pride for the Pumas - is shunted backwards and Scotland are awarded the penalty.
Pete Horne
There is little resistance in Resistencia from the Pumas. Their tackling is weak, their organisation pitiful and Scotland are taking full advantage.
They very nearly grab a fifth try but Simon Berghan's basketball pass a few metres out just eludes Fraser Brown.
A few phases later Argentina are penalised for an offside and Pete Horne kicks Scotland into a 28-point lead before we've even reached the half-hour mark.

Scotland are doing what good teams do - they’re making poor sides pay for their errors. Missed tackles - try. Overthrow at the line-out - try.
Fantastic intensity from Scotland but the Pumas are pathetic. This is a feeble performance.
Magnus Bradbury
The rain is coming down heavily and the ceiling is crashing in on the Pumas.
Argentina captain Agustin Creevy puts his team in trouble with a bad overthrow from a line-out on his own 22. Fraser Brown, normally a hooker but playing seven tonight, gathers and smashes through a couple of tackles.
David Denton and Stuart McInally are stopped short of the line, but eventually Magnus Bradbury ploughs over.
It's another easy conversion for Pete Horne and Scotland are racking up more than a point a minute!

What was supposed to be one of Argentina’s assets - the home crowd - is turning into one of their biggest problems. They’re beginning to turn here and no wonder.
The Pumas are putting in the kind of defensive performance that’s making their calamitous footballers look good. Scotland ruthless and full of running.
Nicolas Sanchez
Scotland are penalised at the breakdown and, somewhat surprisingly, the Pumas elect to go for goal.
Nicolas Sanchez does what is required and Argentina are on the board.
Stuart McInally
This is getting embarrassing for the Pumas.
From a line-out near the Argentine 22m line, McInally finds David Denton with the throw and then loops around to receive the return ball. He charges straight at the diminutive figure of fly-half Nicolas Sanchez, blasts straight through him and then has a free run to the try-line.
Pete Horne adds his third successful conversion and unless the home side get their act together this scoreline could be anything.

Blair Kinghorn
This is clinical stuff from Scotland.
Adam Hastings looks in the mood, the young man quickly recovering from a disappointing display in the defeat to the USA last weekend. The number 10 is playing flat and finding gaps and keeping the defence guessing.
This time he draws a couple of defenders before sending Nick Grigg haring through a huge chasm in the home midfield. The Glasgow centre draws the cover defence and feeds the supporting Blair Kinghorn to race in for the try.
Three tries in five Tests for the exciting young Edinburgh star.

That brilliant combination between the rookie half-backs has done excellently what Gregor Townsend was hoping for - the crowd has been silenced, for now. We remember how Scotland also scored early last week. Long way to go.
Argentina 0-7 Scotland
An awful moment for Tim Swinson. The big lock is hoisted into the air as he looks to claim a restart, but as he comes down his knee buckles under his weight.
A sad sight as the big man departs on a stretcher to be replaced by Ben Toolis.
George Horne
What a start for the Scots!
So much chat about Scotland's young and inexperienced half-back pairing going into the match but they have just combined to tear apart the Argentine defence.
Fly-half Adam Hastings sells the dummy on the attacking 10m line and ghosts through a gap. He keeps his composure to assess his options and slips in George Horne to go in under the posts.
It has been a breakthrough campaign for the little Glasgow Warriors scrum-half. He scored 10 tries in 20 appearances this season and now he has his first try for his country.

Argentina v Scotland (KO 20:40)
What sounds like a hastily-arranged pipe band strikes up for 'Flower of Scotland' and the bloke singing isn't doing much to mask the bum notes. Still, the Scotland players and supporters in the stadium have a good old crack at it.
Surely the Argentine national anthem will be better?

Here we are at the last waltz of the rugby season. Estadio Centenario in Resistencia, the city of statues in northern Argentina. Firstly, some numbers. Argentina have won only three of their last 20 Tests, a run that means today will be the last match in charge for national team coach Daniel Hourcade.
Those stats could do with some context. Their 17 losses haven’t exactly come against the minnows of the world. They’ve lost four times to England, three times to New Zealand, Australia and Wales, twice to South Africa and once to Scotland and Ireland. That’s a ferocious schedule that few teams would fancy.
The Centenario, rough around the edges but hugely atmospheric, is expected to be full. Rain is forecasted later on. This is a home team that will surely want to end Hourcade’s reign on a high. Hourcade masterminded Argentina’s march to the World Cup semi-final three years ago. He’s still well-respected but reckons his players need a new voice.
Scotland a need a win to ease the memory of that awful loss to the USA last weekend. You have to fear for them a little. At half-back they remain incredibly inexperienced with Adam Hastings and George Horne going up against Nicolas Sanchez and Martin Landajo. Scotland’s half-backs have a total of three caps. The Puma half-backs have a total of 144.
Of course, much of it depends on who wins the battle up front. Scotland have spoken about how the USA beat them up in the decisive third-quarter last week in Houston and say that won’t happen again. Scotland’s pack is more experienced than it was last week, but Argentina’s eight are full of wily and fierce customers.
This will be a fascinating one. I can see Argentina winning but then I couldn’t really see Scotland losing last week, so I wouldn’t invest too much of your hard earned cash on my tipping service.

Argentina v Scotland (20:40 KO)
Scotland's fledgling half-back duo, Adam Hastings and George Horne, have been given another chance to press their claims for future involvement, after both starting the defeat by USA last weekend.
That was a first Test start for both of them, with Hastings making his debut off the bench the previous week in the win over Canada.
By contrast, Argentina's half-backs are highly experienced operators, with fly-half Nicolas Sanchez (pictured) and scrum-half Martin Landajo boasting 144 caps between them.
