Stuart McInally
Darcy Graham comes from nowhere and somehow manages to hold on to a pass above his head. The wee winger spins through a challenge and Edinburgh are on the charge, with WP Nel providing the final pass for captain Stuart McInally to bundle over.
Jaco van der Walt adds the extras with another lovely kick.
Edinburgh 26-7 Toulon
Edinburgh start where they left off, hogging the ball and pinning Toulon back. It all falls apart after multiple phases as Matt Scott stabs a hopeful kick forward, with no one on the same wavelength.

Jaco van der Walt, gets the second half under way at Murrayfield. Can Edinburgh finish the job? Can they grab themselves a welcome bonus point?

Quote MessageToulon are way below where they used to be but, with the budget they have, they should be better than this

Quote MessageThis is a joyous performance from Edinburgh, total domination, and for me this game is won - it is just about the bonus point now. Toulon have been made to look shocking. It is hard to pick out an Edinburgh player who has not played exceptionally well. This is different-level stuff. Bill Mata is such a huge man but he is so dextrous as well. He is playing probably the best rugby of his life. He is a skillful wrecking-ball.
Ben Toolis and Henry Pyrgos with the tries and 16 points from the boot of Jaco van der Walt, Edinburgh are well worth their lead.
Toulon captain Mathieu Bastareaud calls his men in for a huddle before they trot off for an ear-bashing from coach Patrice Collazo. The French visitors have been seriously sub-par.
His Edinburgh counterpart, Richard Cockerill, will be grinning from ear-to-ear and asking for more of the same.
Jaco van der Walt
Another penalty to Edinburgh as Matt Scott, then WP Nel are held up within inches of the whitewash.
Easy-peasy for Jaco van der Walt.

Edinburgh continue to boss the game as they kick to touch looking for a third try before half time.

Quote MessageIt is a bit disappointing in a way from Toulon. They haven't had a great start to the season and the confidence isn't there. It is just lackadaisical. There's really no sharpness or energy to get back into it. You'd think a big team would dominate line-outs and scrums, but Edinburgh are taking it to them there. The difference in the way the two sides are playing is night and day.
Edinburgh 23-7 Edinburgh
A big cheer from the home fans as Edinburgh nick a line-out. A minute later, it's the same again. Ben Toolis doing the damage on each occasion. Toulon are in disarray.
Jaco van der Walt
Richard Cockerill's side are enjoying this as they chuck a few passes around, keeping the ball in hand at a very healthy tempo.
Mathieu Bastareaud is the latest Toulon player to give away a penalty and Jaco van der Walt does the business again.

Quote MessageEdinburgh have dominated this match and they should really be looking to turn the screw here. Toulon's fitness isn't allowing them to come forward and put any defensive pressure on Edinburgh.
Jaco van der Walt
That's a bit naughty from Juandre Kruger, who sticks an elbow in the direction of Edinburgh scrum-half Henry Pygrous.
Jaco van der Walt keeps up his 100% record by nailing the penalty.
Henry Pyrgos
That's the way to respond. Viliame Mata and Blair Kinghorn eat up valuable yards and Matt Scott makes a wonderful cut run before slipping a pass to Henry Pyrgos and the scrum-half dots down under the posts.
A simple conversion for Jaco van der Walt and the hosts regain their 10-point lead.
Romain Taofifenua
Malakai Fekitoa wriggles his way past a couple of opponents and shows great skill to offload with one hand. The ball is worked to the hulking figure of Romain Taofifenua and there's no way Dougie Fife can stop the big lock from close range.
Anthony Belleau splits the sticks with the conversion.

Such a sharp start from Edinburgh. Richard Cockerill has had to do a mountain of work on his team in a psychological sense to get them to the point where they genuinely believe they can beat these European teams with big reputations. Their mindset so far is spot-on. They’re winning every battle. This is a game they have to win and they’re going exactly the right way about it

Quote MessageEdinburgh are playing well and boxing clever. If they get their exits right and keep the pressure on, their fitness should shine through towards the end.
Ben Toolis
After a reviewing the replays, it looks like Stuart McInally was held up as he tried to touch the ball down but no matter, Ben Toolis was on hand to collect the scraps and find a chink in the Toulon defence.
Jaco van der Walt knocks over the extras.
Edinburgh 3-0 Toulon
There's something you don't see every day as Edinburgh prop WP Nel breaks through a couple of tackles to set the home side on their way.
Captain Stuart McInally slides over - or does he? Ben Toolis then has a go. It's TMO time.
