    Leinster 5-7 Ulster

    Tony Ward
Former Ireland fly-half on BBC Radio Ulster

In all my years coming here, I cannot recall a more atmospheric 15 minutes. The rugby is right up there in terms of intensity and physicality with international rugby.

  8. 'Awesome match-ups'published at 18:06 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March 2019

    Leinster 5-7 Ulster

    Budge Pountney
Former Scotland flanker on BBC Radio Ulster

We've seen some awesome match-ups in the forwards so far. There are turnovers all over the place, Cian Healy has made two already.

The ball retention from Leinster has been absolutely superb.

  9. What a start!published at 18:06 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March 2019

    Leinster 5-7 Ulster

    Cian Murtagh
BBC Sport NI at Dublin's Aviva Stadium

Phew! An unbelievable start by Ulster, who look really up for this. I can hear some of their tackles from the top tier at the Aviva Stadium.

As you would expect, Ross Byrne is being put under all sorts of pressure and it was his loose pass that forced Garry Ringrose to cut back against the grain before his kick was blocked down.

But what a fantastic response by the Leinster fly-half - that should settle the nerves.

    Leinster 5-7 Ulster

Rory Best is racking up some miles of medical tape as the physios sort out an ankle problem.

The Ulster hooker is good to go after drying his bald pate with a towel and strapping the scrum hat back on his head.

    Leinster 5-7 Ulster

A sobering moment for Jordi Murphy as the Ulster flanker is ushered into touch by his former team-mates after hanging wide for a big charge at the blue wall.

  12. try

Try - Leinster 5-7 Ulsterpublished at 10 mins

    Ross Bryne

It is the fly-half who finally picks the lock after the forwards have failed to quite blow the doors off some stubborn Ulster defence.

Ross Bryne takes a lovely drifting line, hints at a pass to Rory O'Loughlin and instead dives and reaches over to dot down despite the attentions of Robert Baloucoune.

Bryne is off target with the extras though.

Rhys Ruddock smashes up to within two metres on the 20th phase...

  14. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Leinster 0-7 Ulster

Leinster are back on the front foot in search of a response. Scott Fardy burrows up to within 10 metres of the Ulster line...

  15. try

Converted try - Leinster 0-7 Ulsterpublished at 5 mins

    Kieran Treadwell (con Cooney)

And it is exactly what they deserve!

Ross Bryne crabs sideways as he searches for space for his clearing kick. Instead the Leinster fly-half finds the noose tightening with every step.

His kick is charged down and Kieran Treadwell is on hand to gather in the bobbling ball and slide over.

Conversion from John Cooney is good.

It's been a very physical start. Both sides are attacking the breakdown. Ulster have obviously come with the ambition to meet Leinster physically.
