And that's where we'll bring our coverage of these two Premiership semi-finals to a close.

The favourites won through it's fair to say and we've got the final many have been waiting for all season in store next Saturday when Saracens and Exeter lock horns again.

"I do think Saracens will go on and win the final. Saracens' pack delivers gnarly, tough, horrible rugby that is in the face of the opposition.

"And now they have got a backline that is swift and sexy and can score tries. They have ability and it's all run by Owen Farrell.

"I think Saracens have too many big-match players. Even though Exeter have been in four semi-finals and won them, they have won just one final."

As Sweet Caroline blasts out over the PA system, Exeter know they will be heading to Twickenham for a fourth successive year.

In the end the league leaders were too good for Saints, but have they shown themselves to be strong enough to challenge European champions Saracens next week?

We will see in seven days' time, but what we do know is that the two best sides in England this season will contest the final.

So no surprises in either semi-final today.

The top two will go head-to-head for the title once more next weekend.

Fair play to both Gloucester and Northampton for fantastic seasons and some brilliant performances during the campaign, but it was just a step too far this time.

Exeter are heading back to Twickenham in a repeat of last year's final.

That was clinical and efficient from the Chiefs in the second half. Northampton just ran out of gas sadly.

Northampton can be proud, they have had a great year.

They have set a benchmark now that they will not want to go below.

Could have been so different this game had Cobus Reinach held on to that pass from Rory Hutchison on the stroke of half-time.

Exeter used that as the kick up the proverbial they needed and just like last week's regular season game, they've shut their visitors out in the second half.

So we're all set for a rematch of last year's final next weekend.

I hope for the neutral it's not as done a deal as early as these two semi-finals have been today.

Exeter deserve their label as champions elect after finishing the season top of the table, but they now have one match to go and they will need to beat Saracens, a team that I think are the best in the country.

Penalty Exeter. Kick to the corner.

Here comes the line-out once more....

Pick-and-go. Pick-and-go. Pick-and-go.

It's so well tried and tested for Exeter, you can almost predict it.

But Saints look like they've hung on this time and hold the ball up over the line. But, we're taking a look with the TMO.

Scrum penalty. Free-kick on five metres for Chiefs now.

More of the same and Saints cannot get out of their 22.

Not exactly engrossing stuff this sadly - rather a drab passage of play.

Clinical if not spectacular this from Chiefs as they close this game out.

They go again to the corner from a penalty. Will it be try number five?

Northampton collapse the maul and it's the same decision again to kick for the corner.

Rinse. Repeat.

A few more changes in personnel for both sides as centre Luther Burrell is on for Northampton.

It'll possibly be his last appearance before he makes the switch to rugby league in July to join Warrington.

Sam Simmonds is on for Chiefs in the back row as he returns from a long-term injury.

Another penalty for Exeter in the Northampton half and again they opt for the corner rather than the posts.

Will it be a similar story?

Not on this occasion as Saints force Chiefs to infringe at the maul.

Northampton go close as Tom Collins nearly bursts through for the line.

Jack Nowell is there to cover for Exeter and deny the winger with inches to spare.

Saints still rallying.

Northampton throwing some very brave Hollywood passes in their own 22, but with an advantage their way thankfully.

Dan Biggar knocked off his feet by a late tackle from Dave Dennis, but he's OK to continue.

Saints needed the fly-half here to try and conjure up something special.
