At the other end of the experience spectrum, winning the Champions Cup is old news for a few of Leinster's players.

Cian Healy, Johnny Sexton and Devin Toner were all there the first time the Irish side won it in 2009 and could claim their fifth title today.

More importantly though - is it just me, or did Sexton look exactly the same 10 years ago?!

    Matt Dawson
Former England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live

I don’t want to say too much about Ben Spencer because I think there is a slight curse when you speak about players in good form. Dan Robson is another example at scrum-half because Eddie Jones does not want to pick them.

Ben has been fantastic this season. He is 26 but he is playing like a 30-year-old. He is not too dissimilar in how he plays to Richard Wigglesworth but he is more mobile at the breakdown. He is starting because of his ability to run the game as well as individual skills.

Both sides have incredible individual talents with over 20 internationals and 10 British and Irish Lions on the pitch today. But Matt Dawson has been chatting about Saracens' scrum-half Ben Spencer.

  4. Leinster's luck in finalspublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 11 May 2019

    Leinster v Saracens (17:00 BST)

It really does take a moment of magic to beat Leinster. In terms of winning European finals, the Irish side are five from five.

They've been in four Champions Cup finals and have won every single one of them. They've also won the Challenge Cup once.

Saracens’ strike rate isn't quite as perfect but still pretty good. This is the two-time champions' fourth final in six seasons.

Saracens director rugby Mark McCall knows this game is going to come down to very fine margins.

"Leinster are pretty good at everything," he said

"These games turn on small moments, it might be a magical moment. We’ve got to be ready to take advantage of those."

How on earth do you decide who is going to win this one?

Will it come down to Johnny Sexton and Owen Farrell's kicking game? The battle of Mako Vunipola and Tadhg Furlong up front? Or simply a moment of magic?

Happily, ex-England winger Ugo Monye and BBC Sport rugby union correspondent Chris Jones discussed this very thing. You can read all about it here.

But by the sounds of it, Goode is pretty happy where he is and excited for today's game.

"It’s going to be a massive clash," he said "You learn to relish these finals because you’re playing in front of packed crowds against the best sides in the world.

"I’ve never played at St James’ Park before, everyone talks about the atmosphere there and it’s brilliant that it’s in the centre of the city."

    Leinster v Saracens (17:00 BST)

Cullen has made it clear he doesn't want Leinster to focus too much on their opponents today.

"It is a fine balance, you can't be just thinking about the opposition," he said.

"You need to understand what makes Leinster a hard team to play against and what it took to get us to a final in the first place."

Saracens centre Brad Barritt could equal a record too if he wins the Champions Cup for the third time as a captain.

The only other man to do this? Leinster head coach Leo Cullen! If that's not a fun fact, I don't know what is.

    Leinster v Saracens (17:00 BST)

As if winning back-to-back Champions Cups wasn't enough, Leinster could still defend their Pro14 title.

They play Munster in the semi-final of the league on 18 May.

The only other team to have achieved this feat was Leicester in 2001 and 2002.

Should point out - Saracens could still defend their Premiership title too. Their semi-final is on 25 May.

To say these sides have dominated the Champions Cup over the last few years is an understatement.

Saracens have won all eight of their matches this season, as they did when they lifted the trophy in 2016 and as Leinster did when they won last year.In fact, Leinster have only lost one match over the last two Champions Cup seasons. They were defeated by Toulouse in this season's pool stage.

Leinster could go where no other team have gone before today. If they win, they will be the first side to win the Champions Cup five times.

Saracens could set a record of their own. No other Premiership club has claimed the trophy three times.

St James' Park took on a Gallic air last night as 28,438 fans piled in to watch Clermont v La Rochelle in the Challenge Cup final.

Scotland scrum-half Greig Laidlaw kicked 18 points as Clermont claimed the title for a third time.

Wing Damian Penaud, number eight Fritz Lee and centre Wesley Fofana all scored to help Les Jaunards to victory.

La Rochelle could only get across the whitewash once as prop Uini Atonio barrelled over.
