Warriors take a quick penalty after Edinburgh are penalised. Ali Price scampers into the opposition half before being scythed down by Bill Mata.

    Glasgow 3-7 Edinburgh

A quick turnover from Bill Mata gets Glasgow turning on their heels. Nathan Chamberlain dinks the kick through, but Adam Hastings is able to sprint back and collect.

Glasgow kick the ball away, and Edinburgh come again. It's all a bit blunt, but Zander Fagerson is pinged for not rolling away. Blair Kinghorn kicks to the corner for Edinburgh.

    Edinburgh 3-7 Glasgow

We finally get some attack going, as Glasgow try to extend their lead. A nice offload from Fraser Brown sends Adam Hastings into space, and he finds Tommy Seymour.

But the former Scotland wing tries a kick down the line, which goes wrong, and into touch. Defences on top.

Stafford McDowall sticks a kick into the Edinburgh corner to pin them back.

It was a decent chance to get the ball through the hands, though. Sorry to labour the point, but this is far from a classic.

This is garbage. The skillset is poor, neither 10 is having an influence of the game.

    Edinburgh 3-7 Glasgow

The cheers of Glasgow players echo round Murrayfield as they are awarded a scrum because Edinburgh take an age to get rid of the ball.

They're on their opponents 10m line. Will the new Edinburgh front row turn the tide in the scrum?

  8. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Edinburgh 3-7 Glasgow

Remember, Edinburgh trailed by two points at half-time last week. They scored 17 unanswered points after the break.

Richard Cockerill has seen enough in the scrum and changes his entire front row. On come Rory Sutherland, Stuart McInally and WP Nel for Pierre Schoeman, Mike Willemse and Simon Berghan.

    Some depth, eh?

    Edinburgh 3-7 Glasgow

A knock-on from Darcy Graham means a scrum for Glasgow, and then Edinburgh stepped round and gave away the penalty.

Pierre Schoeman was the culprit again. He's not having it his own way tonight.

From Edinburgh's point of view Hamish Watson and Bill Mata need to grab the game by the scruff of the neck to give Nathan Chamberlain the chance to influence the game.

For Glasgow to win they need to have a high tempo in attack, like we saw at the end of that first half.

Disappointing from an Edinburgh perspective. The game before the big game can be difficult and I wonder how much that's in the back of the guys' minds.

  16. Half-time - Edinburgh 3-7 Glasgowpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 28 August 2020

Edinburgh get the scrum penalty and Blair Kinghorn knocks it out to the sound of the half-time whistle.

It's not been a bonnie first-half for the 700 fans inside Murrayfield to watch.

Fraser Brown clattered over to put Glasgow in front, and despite losing Huw Jones to the sin bin for 10 minutes, they have only conceded one penalty since.

Glasgow have been denied again! Captain Fraser Brown was stretching for his second try, but loses a grip of the ball before grounding it.

Hugely disappointing end to the half for the Warriors. Edinburgh scrum.

Rinse and repeat. Glasgow tap and go, and after battering away they think they've scored again.

They're checking for a knock on...

Zander Fagerson hasn't managed to burrow over. Good defence by Edinburgh, but Warriors had the penalty advantage.
