It is off the field Argentina have been under scrutiny this week, after Pablo Matera, Guido Petti and Santiago Socino were suspended on Tuesday for racist comments posted on social media between 2011 and 2013.

The Argentine Rugby Union (UAR) then reversed the decision two days later, describing the posts as "imprudent and immature".

Flanker Matera, lock Petti and hooker Socino had their social media accounts closed on Tuesday but screenshots of historical posts which disparaged black people and people from other South American nations circulated widely.

The UAR said the players' apologies and good behaviour in the years since the posts meant their suspensions could be lifted, adding that the disciplinary process would continue.

The trio have not been named in the Pumas' squad, in order to protect them after they received "a lot of hate" since the posts were discovered, said Argentina head coach Mario Ledesma.

Argentina followed a first victory over New Zealand with a tryless draw against Australia in Newcastle, New South Wales a fortnight ago.

Australia established a nine-point lead just before the hour thanks to five penalties from fly-half Reece Hodge, but Nicolas Sanchez landed three quick penalties in damp conditions, the last two from 45 metres into a head wind.

That left all three teams have six points before Argentina were beaten 38-0 by the All Blacks last weekend.

It had all started so promisingly for Argentina, enjoying their first ever victory in 30 Test matches against the All Blacks with a 25-15 win in Sydney.

That was New Zealand's second defeat in a row, having also lost to Australia.

The All Blacks rediscovered their swagger to beat both in the following weeks and all but wrap up the Tri-Nations Series victory.

    We need a cricket score...

It doesn't matter from who, but it's going to take an absolute thumping for either one of theses sides to overturn New Zealand's grasp on the Tri-Nations trophy.

The Wallabies need to win by 101 points in Sydney, while a 93-point win would do it for the Pumas.

You suspect the All Blacks will be sitting fairly comfortably.
