And, even without British or Irish interest, Toulouse v La Rochelle has all the makings of a fun final.

    Bye for now.

The most one-eyed Leinster fan might try and claim that James Lowe's yellow card - in the 56th minute with the visitors leading 16-15 - might have been both soft and key.

But ultimately it is difficult to build a case for the Pro14 champs.

Leinster have lost possession inside their own 22m. Messy.

A break in play. We will restart with a blue scrum deep in their own territory.

They will have to fling it around.

    90 seconds left.

    Ross Byrne (con Byrne)

A nice ghosting run from Ross Byrne takes the Leinster fly-half over the line.

He jogs back, snaps a conversion and the gap is down to nine.

Two and a half minutes of normal time.

Leinster will have to run the kick-off straight back and score to stay in the game...

Leinster aiming for a last hurrah.

They are up to within five metres. But it is all too little, too late surely...

Converted try - La Rochelle 32-16 Leinsterpublished at 74 mins

    Will Skelton (con West)

    Game over.

Will Skelton, built like some sort of nightmareish NFL x NBA hybrid, slam-dunks the ball over the line at the end of fearsome rumble off the bac of the rolling La Rochelle maul.

Ihaia West plugs over the extra and this scoreline is looking comprehensive. And, on the basis of the second half, entirely deserved.

James Lowe with a horrible attempted kick in defence. It goes high, but gains no distance.

La Rochelle swarm around it. Lovely offloading from Dillyn Leyds and the excellent Tawera Kerr Barlow.

La Rochelle have a penalty. Kick for the posts and a possible 12-point lead? Or for the corner to go for a try and a little more off the clock?

    La Rochelle 25-16 Leinster

There is huge energy from La Rochelle in defence, a whole chorus line of chat about who's hitting who.

Dillyn Leyds gets a turnover as he dips into the breakdown over the tackled Robbie Henshaw.

The home team give James Lowe a shove and a suggestion where to go as the Leinster wing gets involved after the whistle.

    La Rochelle 25-16 Leinster

Leinster's hopes of a fifth Champions Cup title are on a thread.

They need all that know-how now.

James Lowe is back out the sin bin to bring them up to 15.

  13. try

Converted try - La Rochelle 25-16 Leinsterpublished at 66 mins

    Gregory Alldritt (con West)

No disputing this one. Gregory Alldritt, with Will Skelton providing some extra horsepower from behind, shunts his way over from close range.

    Big celebrations from the hosts..

And even more when Ihaia West lands the extras to push the hosts more than a converted score ahead.

No clear shot of the grounding on the raft of replays and the French director sure tried his hardest to find one.

The danger is not over yet though.

    Scrum five yellow...

The ball has made it to the Leinster line. But referee Matt Carley isn't sure how it got there.

Tawera Kerr Barlow dived for the whitewash. Josh van der Flier flew into to tackle. The TMO is trying to unpick the puzzle.

The on-field decision is 'no try' and that might just be enough to save Leinster.

A minute or so left on James Lowe's yellow.

La Rochelle up to within five of the Leinster line...

    A crucial passage of play.

    La Rochelle 18-16 Leinster

La Rochelle get their wires crossed at the line-out. A horrible mix-up with the throw floating clear over some jumpers and lifters who were expecting something else.

But Luke McGrath's clearing kick has not gone far for Leinster..

A big turnover for La Rochelle from hooker Pierre Bougarit.

The France international gets over the top of Jack Conan to earn the penalty.

La Rochelle call up Brice Dulin from full-back to kick this one for touch. He finds it and Leinster have a line-out to defend 10m out...

    Big moments.

But Leinster's clearing kick is out on the full.

A poor error. And more pressure incoming.
