Well what a game! Thank you for joining me for a historic match.

England remain on top of the world with an emphatic seven-try display at Franklin's Gardens. Becky Grey was there to witness the action in person and if you'd like to re-live the magical match you can read her report here.

That isn't the end of the autumn internationals with England's games against Canada and the USA being broadcast on the BBC and covered live here once again. Canada are up first next weekend.

Do join us for that to see if England can continue their unbeaten streak - 16 games in a row now. Who will stop them?

Middleton's smile is wide and with good reason - I'm still stunned at the match we have just watched.

We are bringing this team to the whole country. I didn't think that the crowd could have been topped from last weekend at Sandy Park, but it was equally good today.

Down in the south-west, up here in the Midlands, these are real rugby heartlands and there will be a legacy to performances such as this.

I thought Poppy Cleall did excellently and showed that she could be a long-term successor to Sarah Hunter as captain. She led by example and was composed in her conversations with the referees and controlled her discipline well.

Middleton added on BBC Two: "No I couldn't have imagined this. We knew the Black Ferns were a bit unknown but we talk about being able to adapt quickly. We learned quickly on the field and we got good processes in place.

"Our forwards have been fantastic. Backs have shown good glimpses.

"We are still a bit vulnerable across the back line in defence. They exposed us a bit at the end. A few lessons there. I was a bit disappointed we didn't attack more with ball in hand. I want to see us move the ball a bit more. I think Emily would have had a field day!

"Thrilled with forwards coach Louis Deacon. We have always tried to et the best coaches and we were fortunate to get him. he was a world class player, a world class coach. He has demonstrate din a short period of time what he can do with world class players."

  6. "We have to get back up"published at 16:51 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    FT: England 56-15 New Zealand

Glenn Moore said: "We have to keep getting back up. We have to congratulate England. they are a well polished outfit at the moment. their maul is a real strength.

"I'm proud of our young players.

"We are investing back home. We have a new domestic league that's something we wanted to have before covid. That's going to b important for us."

The pressure was on last week but England came out with the same intensity, tempo, physicality and fight. That driving maul was a real weapon.

The one positive for New Zealand is that a year is a long time in rugby. They will be a different proposition with more Test rugby in their legs and on home territory when the Rugby World Cup comes around.

England captain Cleall said on BBC Two: "We wanted to back up our performance at Sandy Park. From a forwards point of view I liked that we continued our dominance in our driving maul. For Cokayne to finish them off just shows our hard work.

"We can't affect what happens in other nations but we are here to have the privilege of being a professional team.

"It's hugely proud moment in my career."

  10. "It shows the support we have received"published at 16:38 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

    FT: England 56-15 New Zealand

Player of the Match Amy Cokayne told BBC Two: "Coming into this series we knew playing them back-to-back was going to be tough. It's always a bit lucky being a hooker being at the back of mauls!

    England 56-15 New Zealand

Now that is another record victory for England over New Zealand with a huge performance from Simon Middleton's side.

The first half was massively impressive and though they seemed to drop of in the second 40, they remained in New Zealand's faces.

Tries from the likes of Cokayne, Infante, Dow and Davies secured the result. This makes it the first time since 2012 that England have beaten New Zealand in back-to-back games.

The result is even more impressive as it is the first time any team have managed to score over 50 points against New Zealand.

England will next play Canada and the USA who will have to play the games of their lives to win them.

There's a definite change in the England pack since the changes were made, they are less clinical and have less possession.

But just as I type that England win a penalty - always the way!
