No-one in the crowd has left. Moments like this are made more special by the vacuums of atmosphere that sporting fixtures became for 18 months.

I honestly don't think the same result would have happened in front of an empty stadium. That was emotionally charged, and it was brilliant.

  5. 'It's a childhood dream'published at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 13 November 2021

    FT: Ireland 29-20 New Zealand

Try-scorer James Lowe has told Channel 4: "It's amazing. Never in a million years did I think this day would come. I dreamt of being an All Black as a kid.

"I gave up that dream as I wasn't good enough and to come over here, to hear my native country anthem and stand in front of the haka, it's a childhood dream."

    Ireland 29-20 New Zealand

They've done it again! Ireland make history with back-to-back home victories over New Zealand.

Emotional for James Lowe, who was born in NZ, as he embraces former school friends and teammates at the final whistle.

It was a sensational match, one of the best international matches I've ever watched. Half-time New Zealand were 10-5 ahead after a Codie Taylor converted try and Jordie Barrett penalty.

Whatever Andy Farrell said at the break worked as the hosts came out swinging with Ronan Kelleher scoring. Caelan Doris individual brilliance added another try and a penalty from Johnny Sexton helped the scoreboard tick along.

Will Jordan hit back with a score with penalties from both sides closing out the match. With hindsight New Zealand's call to close the gap to three points instead of kicking to the corner may be reviewed as the wrong decision.

But Ireland won't care, they've mad history and will be celebrating long into tonight.
