England 29-30 Argentina
More from England coach Eddie Jones: "After half time we were getting our game in place, we were looking fluid in attack but then we made mistakes and we were chasing our tail.
"We made silly mistakes but I like the way the team went about it. We didn't finish well, there was that lack of cohesion.
"It's not good enough - we realise it's not good enough."

Adam Tauszky: Discipline discipline discipline. It has cost us for years and it isn’t getting any better if anything it is getting worse. It has to be addressed otherwise we will continue to go nowhere
Matt Whiting: Don’t get me started … but too late!! Players out of position, picking players with little or no game time, picking Smith but not allowing him to run the game, kicking for the posts when should be finding touch, too many penalties, not strong enough in the scrum …
More from Michael Cheika: "Eddie Jones is a good fella. He'll be back, Japan next week is a big game for him."
England 29-30 Argentina
England coach Eddie Jones on Prime Video: "Losing always hurts. It was one of those games, the lead changed a lot.
"You can't put your finger on what went wrong. Structurally we had control of the game but we kept making fundamental mistakes and easy errors. Congratulations to Argentina, they took their chances and stuck in the game.
"We have no excuses, the referee, the pitch was the same for both teams. They got the points at the right time. We lacked cohesion."

With all England’s resources Eddie Jones is taking the team backwards. The RFU of course will not change anything we will not get out of our group in the World Cup playing like that.
Tim, Cambridgeshire
Time for Eddie Jones to go and Farrell to lose captaincy. Very poor performance by England, Farrell shouldn't be talking about development after this long in the squad and a year out from a World Cup.
Kris, Leeds
England 29-30 Argentina
Argentina coach Michael Cheika on Prime Video: "The players have got a great attitude. They need to know what defence is, it's not about a great ending it's about getting a good field position so you are able to pounce.
"We were able to take points even though we didn't have a lot of ball."
England 29-30 Argentina
Argentina wing Emiliano Boffelli: "We said at half-time that we must stay close in the score, then we got two tries. Our attitude was important. The coach, everyone knows him as a coach and he has great experience. He is confident in us.
"To score 25 points at Twickenham is great! The whole team did their job."

England going backwards under Jones. Years in charge yet no identity in how they want to play.
Gary, Glossop
It's time for Eddie Jones to go. England going backwards and not utilising the full power of their money and reach to propel themselves to the peaks they should be at. Time for a forward thinking coach, preferably English.
Franko
I reckon any coach in the Prem would do a better job with this team than Eddie. Yeah so he's developed a team culture, but that's useless if they don't play well and there's no development. After that performance I fear losses in the next 3 games, including Japan.

England 29-30 Argentina
England captain Owen Farrell to Prime Video: "We talked about some issues we had on the field that we didn't address, we can't drop confidence because of this.
"We had scrappy parts of the game which will get better, the discipline is avoidable and it wasn't quite happening. We let the pressure off at times. It was a wet day, a wet pitch and as you saw both teams didn't move the ball well.
"The penalties stopped our momentum. We weren't at our best and that's what we are here to do."

The Argentine players celebrate in a focused huddle as skipper Julian Montoya delivers a surmon. Great win!

Frank Maguire: Eddie Jones has taken England absolutely nowhere and wasted a lot of talent. Out of ideas and his time is up. RFU should make the brave right call and change him whilst we still have time to rebuild ahead of the World Cup
Theo: Shambles of a performance from England. Architects of their own downfall with self inflicted penalties which cost us. Eddie Jones needs to go for me. All the same errors are still there from last year
England 29-30 Argentina
Argentina had 37% of possession but came up with two opportunist tries and kicked with nerves of steel all game.
Thoughts?

SAFCPete: Throughout EJ reign we have witnessed indiscipline and stupid penalties being given away. Every time the opponent attacks us it’s a guaranteed minimum 3 points. That’s why he needs to go. Nothing is improving. So frustrating with all our resources, no excuse.

Argentina win at Twickenham for the first time since 2006!

Henry Slade drops the ball in contact. And that should be that...
England 29-30 Argentina
England have the ball in hand, out wide. They are in their own half and need something special...
England 29-30 Argentina
A bit of respite as England get the ball back. Should Argentina have kicked that?
