Ireland are playing the game where they want to play the game, in the right areas of the field. I had my doubts over Ross Byrne but the way he has played for Leinster and seemingly replaced Johnny Sexton, we are witnessing it again today.

France tidied it up well from the line-out but Ireland have it again and are putting the squeeze on in the French half.

Good carry from Bundee Aki as the Ireland crowd continue to get behind their team in Dublin.

Ross Byrne finds touch with a pinpoint kick into the corner. Lovely stuff from Johnny Sexton's deputy.

Big line-out coming up just a few metres from the French line.

Experienced centre Bundee Aki has come off the bench for Ireland, replacing Stuart McCloskey who has had another good day in a green shirt.

Talk about picking the right club at the right time - that was brilliant from Casey.

Ah that's such a lovely strike of the rugby ball as Thomas Ramos drops a goal for the visitors.

It's his last touch of the game as he is replaced by Matthieu Jalibert.

Tom O'Toole has come on for Ireland, meanwhile.

Time for some pressure from France.

Ireland had the penalty advantage during that move and replacement fly-half Ross Byrne, not long on for Sexton, kicks it between the posts.

Ireland shift it wide to James Lowe but the pass to him is too high, allowing time for a tackle.

Some more big tackles going in from the French pack as Ireland drove for the line.

The changes from both sides are mounting up now as Conor Murray's afternoon is over.

That is the first time France have managed to get up to the Ireland line and what work from Stuart McCloskey.

He was good in Cardiff last week and he is even better today - that is what happens with game time and confidence just getting used to playing at the level. He has been very good today.

Peter O'Mahony thinks he has a chance for a break at the back of an Ireland line-out, but he's on the stretch and can't gather the ball.

Big moment in the game as Ireland captain Johnny Sexton is forced off injured nine minutes into the second half.
