    FT: Scotland 22-34 Wales

What a thrilling match and what a result for Wales.

A bonus-point win takes them top of the Six Nations with a maximum 10 from 10.

They had the power of their front-row to thank with props - Sisilia Tuipulotu and Gwenllian Pyrs - scoring a brace each before setting up a late score for Ffion Lewis.

However they will need to improve their discipline before the biggest challenge of all in two weeks' time - England.

For Scotland, leaving empty-handed probably does not do justice for the effort they put in.

They tackled themselves to a standstill and scored a couple of wonderful tries - Chloe Rollie's finish a particular stand out.

However their losing run continues to an 11th game and it's only going to get harder when they next face France.

Join us then to see how they get on and don't forget England v Italy tomorrow afternoon as our BBC Sport colleagues bring you all the action.

  2. 'I am really chuffed' - Ioan Cunninghampublished at 19:52 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    FT: Scotland 22-34 Wales

Wales coach Ioan Cunningham told BBC Two:

"Scotland were excellent they are a very good team, the momentum swung in their favour and they were on top, I'm super proud that we weathered that storm and swung that momentum our way.

"I am really chuffed to come away to a tough place and get a victory.

"We learned a lot in the World Cup playing against The Black Ferns, that was was great for us, learning to play flatter to the line, playing on top a bit more and I think we are seeing it now.

"Some players have really matured over the last 12 months, Sisilia is on fire we are delighted she is with us.

"Shaun [Connor] has been excellent, he has simplified it a little bit for us and it is about playing forward and going forward first. The girls have bought in and we are enjoying it."

  3. 'I couldn't have asked for more' - Rachel Malcolmpublished at 19:46 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    FT: Scotland 22-34 Wales

Scotland captain Rachel Malcolm told BBC Two:

"That was proper Test match but I'm disappointed because we were totally in it and I couldn't ask for more from the girls.

"The way we stepped up defensively in the second half was massive step forward.

"The first half we weren't happy with but in the second half we stopped them. But they were just so good at keeping ball and eventually it paid dividends for them.

"There were some key battles in today's game, set-pieces didn't go our way if we sorted our maul out a bit earlier we probably would have been comfortably ahead of them but that's something we need to look at."

  5. Player of the Match: Sisilia Tuipulotupublished at 19:37 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    FT: Scotland 22-34 Wales

Just in case anyone was in any doubt, she's done it again... for the second game in a row.

But who can argue. She carried more than any other player on the pitch, made 97 metres and scored two tries.

    And she's a tight-head prop!!

    What a talent.

"I feel we had to keep calm, trust in our process and go with the flow.

"We are pretty confident but at the same time we have just got to know our roles and be confident in what we have to do on the field and off the field."

Scotland are still waiting for that win but they can take heart from this. They really showed up today and that's something that has been lacking. They had the bit between their teeth and took their chances.

But that last Welsh try from the scrum just showed how dominant they were. They were outstanding.

The way Wales came out especially that second half and to score so early 14 players down, that just settled them and set their intentions for that second half which was massive, some huge performances in there.

Really smart from Wales, they will be really pleased with that.

It's worth reminding that's the same front row that started the game, there are not many front rows you see playing the entirety when they've carried that much, defended that well, turned over balls, that is incredible.

Ffion Lewis benefiting very much from the dominance there of the Welsh front row.
