France have the line-out deep in their own half but it's loose as England look to disrupt in the air.

Twickenham responds with a cheer and Botterman pumps the arms in appreciation of their support.

She looks pretty animated, would imagine not all of that would be good for young ears... With this nervy start, England needed a talking to.

Cyrielle Banet leaps into the air to claim the kick through but she is unable to take it cleanly. If she had caught that, you think it would have been a try.

It would not have been undeserved either.

The crowd are starting to get a bit disgruntled with all these kicks.

England seemed to be making good progress when they tried to run it out of their 22 just now, but that was a short-lived tactic before they returned to the boot.

France seem to have the steelier nerves in these opening minutes but England are bringing the physicality.

Some huge defenive hits are going in and each is rewarded with a satisfying 'oo' from the Twickenham crowd.

The ball is moved one way and then the other by Les Blues.

They are testing the England defence without penetrating. England are yet to get on the ball for any prolonged period.

England concede another penalty but Jessy Tremouliere chooses not to kick for the posts this time.

It's dinked into touch and France will try and bring the forward power to Twickenham.
