Edinburgh head coach Mike Blair has also spoken to Sportsound: "I thought Lions defended really well", he said. "We could have been more direct - we played some nice stuff, but not winning stuff. I think we need to keep the pressure on, and we probably allowed them to control things with their defence.
"We did well in the first half to fatigue their big men, but then we weren't able to capitalise on that. I thought when we scored our third try that would break the seal, but Lions did really well. They've shown in their three games that they have a real fighting spirit about them.
"I don't like putting undue pressure on ourselves. Ultimately we have to look at what we're doing, because we should have been capitalising on the territory we had.
"This is a tough league. Lions have won three in a row away from home, and they are the perceived worst of the South African teams."

Edinburgh second row Glen Young has been talking to Sportsound: "It always hurts to lose in an Edinburgh jersey", he said, "but especially at home.
"The game was there for us to win, but we let in a few soft tries, and against the big physical teams, you can't give them those chances.
"Mike has just said that we've got to be ruthless for 80 minutes. There's a lot of good stuff for a highlights reel, but if you switch off for just a few seconds, they are going to score."

Quote MessageThe Lions were excellent defensively. They were hanging on at points, but they managed it. I was really impressed with them. There wasn't a lot in that game, but of course Edinburgh will be disappointed.

Quote MessageEdinburgh must be sickened, they have left this one behind. They should have won that game. They cannot keep losing these tight games, otherwise they will be playing catchup. Look, they've had a tough run, so that's the caveat.
