Edinburgh are just starting to take control of this game.

A huge carry from Bill Mata blasts a hole in the Lions defence, and the visitors are pinged at the ruck for not releasing.

The first chance for Darcy Graham to run at the Lions defence sees him dance past a couple of would-be tacklers, and takes Edinburgh into the Lions 22.

Henry Immelman is absolutely screaming for the ball outside the Hawick flyer, but Graham takes contact and the attack fizzles out.

The kicking game so far has shown just how strong the wind is in Edinburgh tonight.

Edinburgh are very much kicking into the wind, so will have to box clever.

With the wind at his back, Lions fly-half Gianni Lombard decides to have a shot at goal, but it drifts harmlessly wide.

Quick, slick attacking play from Edinburgh sees them get over the gain-line consistently.

A grubber kick through from James Lang then evades the grasp of Andries Coetzee, but bobbles into touch before Darcy Graham can pounce.

We've had a stoppage as Stuart McInally receives treatment - he was involved in a heavy collision.

After starting on the back foot, Edinburgh spring into life with a barnstorming run from Stuart McInally.

The ball goes loose at the back of a Lions lineout, McInally gathers and bursts through a hole.

The Edinburgh hooker crashes over half-way, and then the hosts win a penalty that they kick downfield.

An early scare for Edinburgh, as the Lions find space down the left for winger Quan Horn.

He dinks a kick over the top, but James Lang races back to gather the ball and Henry Pyrgos clears.

Edinburgh's players are sporting a variety of colourful socks from clubs across Scotland, as part of 'club appreciation night', which sees them pay tribute to the grassroots game.

Edinburgh head coach Mike Blair has spoken to Premier Sports pre-match: "We really enjoyed the two weeks [in South Africa]", he said. "Little bits of detail missed maybe meant we didn't win the games.

"We've got to understand that little decisions can have big impacts. It's about keeping our discipline and making sure we can come away with points.

[On Duhan van der Merwe's return to the Scottish capital]: "First of all, we're deeply saddened by what's happened at Worcester - it's a real shame for the sport. For Duhan, it's great that he's come up here - he's a world-class player. We know him well, I'm sure he's desperate to get up here."

Despite Emiliano Boffelli's presence, the danger man for Edinburgh will be lurking on the opposite flank.

The headline news for Edinburgh is that Emiliano Boffelli returns from his international exploits with Argentina to start on the left wing.

In addition to his international experience, he also brings undoubted goal-kicking ability, which has been an issue for Edinburgh in the opening weeks.

Matt Currie makes his first start of the campaign in place of the injured Mark Bennett, while Henry Pyrgos is named at scrum-half after Ben Vellacott picked up a knock.
