    Jack Dempsey

A move straight off the training ground sees Glasgow open the scoring!

They shift the point of contact at the lineout at least twice, which throws the Lions defence off somewhat, and then they pounce.

George Horne peels off the back, finds Sione Tuipulotu with a flat pass, and the centre crashes over the gain-line before finding Jack Dempsey in support.

He goes over to score, and Horne knocks over the conversion.

    Lovely stuff.

    Glasgow 0-0 Lions

Domingo Miotti spots a gap, shows-and-goes, and bursts into space.

George Horne, as ever, is in support, and breaks into the Lions 22.

The game is then stopped after Matt Fagerson runs over the top of his would-be tackle Rabz Maxwane, who looks to be out cold.

The referee rightly stops the game to allow the physios to come on and get Maxwane some treatment.

It's a strong front five that Glasgow have got, and if they can get parity there, and get on the front foot, will Lions be able to cope with that?

George Horne plays with such tempo - it will be interesting to see how they get that into the game.

It was a record-breaking performance for Glasgow in the round of 16 as they surpassed their all-time record points tally in thrashing Dragons 73-33.

Five of their tries were scored by hooker Johnny Matthews, the first ever Glasgow player to score five in one game, but Matthews drops to the bench for this one.

    You'd be gutted, wouldn't you?

    Glasgow Warriors v Lions (20:00)

Lions come to Glasgow knowing that they are capable of beating Franco Smith's side.

Glasgow's unbeaten run in the URC fell away in South Africa in February when Lions beat them 35-24.

They have also beaten Edinburgh on the road this year, and in Ruan Venter and Francke Horn they possess back row players that can more than go toe-to-toe with Glasgow.

With a first ever European semi-final place on the line for Glasgow, Franco Smith has selected a formidable looking side to take on Lions at Scotstoun.

Scotland internationals Jamie Bhatti, George Turner and Zander Fagerson all come into the side in the front row, while Matt Fagerson replaces Sione Vailanu in the back row.

In the backs, George Horne and Domingo Miotti continue as the half-backs, and Scotland centres Sione Tuipulotu and Huw Jones will hope to deliver another stellar midfield display.
