England 0-0 Fiji
Manu Tuilagi barges through, then Ellis Genge is close to beating his man too. This is good from England who have a penalty advantage, they go left but can't get the ball away. It will come back for a penalty.
England 0-0 Fiji
It's superb isn't it. Party at the front, business at the back. An anti-mullet.
Anyway Courtney Lawes now brings it to the breakdown and this time England win the ball back. Elliot Daly spirals a kick downfield to pin Fiji right back.

If this game is as one sided as the appearance of the kits it's going to be a long afternoon for England, how nice is that Fiji shirt? I want one and I'm English!

England 0-0 Fiji
Good from England, then not so good. Alex Mitchell takes a quick tap penalty to stretch Fiji, only for Joe Marchant to get wrapped up in the tackle and he can't release the ball. It's a turnover penalty and Fiji are bossing the breakdown.

Fiji look like a troop of beach lifeguards in these illuminous orange shorts.
I think I might get myself a pair for my next summer holiday.

John: This is why I don’t support England rugby. Owen Farrell is the best England 10 since Wilkinson and plays in a very similar style. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think that it is pure snobbery that means he gets so much stick.
England 0-0 Fiji
Lovely from fly half Vilimoni Botitu to body swerve through a tackle and he nearly offloads too. Almost inspired by Fiji who look slick.
England 0-0 Fiji
England win their lineout and then drive a maul a good distance too. A big tick for the pack early doors. Alex Mitchell's box kick isn't the best though.
England 0-0 Fiji
Open, exciting, engaging start. Fiji kick to the corner and test England out.

The Fiji fans are suddenly making themselves heard now their side have pinned England back in their 22.

Great ambition from England, good to see they want to attack. But you cannot get caught in the midfield like they have. England missed one clean out and Levani Botia turns it over.
England 0-0 Fiji
Fiji look dangerous from the off too, wing Vinaya Habosi nearly breaks clear and some of the crowd think he was taken late by Elliot Daly.
England 0-0 Fiji
Marcus Smith fields his first kick at full-back nicely and England get playing quickly. Manu Tuilagi punches a hole with Smith coming infield to make space too. Owen Farrell's cross kick is gathered in by Jonny May and England keep coming. This is a fine start from England, until Levani Botia wins the ball back at the breakdown. Great defence.

Great support for England in Marseille, I'd say three-quarters of Stade Velodrome is filled with Red Rose jerseys.
But I've never heard supporters boo their own captain the way England fans just did when Owen Farrell's name was announced.
That's got to hurt!

The physicality of the English can destroy Fiji if they are not up for the fight.

Confirmed: Stade Velodrome is definitely worth a visit.
The stylishly curving roof reveals hints of mountains in the background. Lovely.
The Fijian haka, the Cibi, is drowned out by thousands of England fans singing 'Swing Low Sweet Chariot.'
Big game vibes.
