Hmm, cancel that last comment. Franco Smith won't be happy at all after Leinster's first attack of note ends up in a try for Jack Boyle.

We told you about him before kick-off. An Irish Test player in the making. Looks a terrific prospect at the tender age of 21.

    Glasgow 12-6 Leinster

Leinster might not have threatened with ball in hand this far Tom, but they are into the Glasgow 22 here.

Big defensive set needed for the hosts.

Glasgow doing their best to warm-up a fairly subdued home crowd. Tough audience.

Warriors playing with a lot of ambition. Two excellent tries that had mighty work from back-row forwards (Rory Darge and Gregor Brown) at the heart of them.

Leinster haven't threatened with ball in hand at all. Franco Smith is hard to please but he should be happy enough so far.

The grounding is fine, and the try is confirmed to the delight of the home crowd.

Tom Jordan's conversion attempt from the touchline is dragged wide.

  7. try

    Sebastian Cancelliere

If Sebastian Cancelliere has got this down, it's a brilliant try.

Leinster think they've got the Warriors in bother after a fumble in midfield, but some lovely quick hands create an overlap down the right-hand side.

Gregor Brown is tackled well by Jordan Larmour, but shows excellent awareness to offload off the floor to Cancelliere, who races away into the corner.

The TMO is just checking to see if his foot was in touch...

    Josh McKay

Glasgow have the try that their early pressure deserves!

Rory Darge spins out of a couple of tackles, draws the last defender and releases Josh McKay to score under the posts.

Tom Jordan adds the extras from bang in front.

    Glasgow 0-0 Leinster

Brilliant work from John McKee on the floor wins Leinster a penalty, and another Glasgow visit to the Leinster 22 yields no points.

    Glasgow 0-0 Leinster

Glasgow's lineout doesn't quite go to plan again, but Ross Molony can't hang on, and the home side have a scrum in a hugely promising position.

    Big chance this.

    Glasgow 0-0 Leinster

Leinster look a wee bit shaky here.

Tommy O'Brien isn't expecting the pass, knocks-on, and Glasgow win a penalty at the resulting scrum.

Once again, Tom Jordan kicks to the corner.

It might be happening in a parallel universe compared to the World Cup, but for URC fans this is a big day.

Glasgow have plenty of big names back from Scotland but Leinster have a very callow look to them.

A front row aged 21, 23 and 23 and a back-up front-row aged 22, 20 and 21. Jack Boyle is their loosehead and a player that everyone in Leinster is very, very excited about. Not huge but very dynamic. His battle with Zander Fagerson will be fascinating.

You'd have to fancy Glasgow but don't let Leinster's unfamiliarity fool you.

    Glasgow Warriors v Leinster (16:00)

Leinster's last campaign promised so much, but ultimately ended in heartbreak.

Having topped the regular URC table, the Irish province then lost to Munster in the league semi-finals, before falling at the final hurdle in the Champions Cup for the second season running.

Silverware will be seen as an absolute must this season after such near-misses.
