  1. Goodbye

    FT: Italy 0-48 England

That's round one of the Women's Six Nations done.

Ali Telfer's match report is on hand if you missed any of England's resounding win in Parma.

We will of course be back for more next weekend - catch you then.

  2. 'We will fix up and come back stronger'

    FT: Italy 0-48 England

England captain Marlie Packer said on BBC Two:

"[I am] on top of the world if I am being honest with you.

"We said as a squad we wanted to take the handbrake off, but there were some soft errors in play.

"It is the first game of the tournament, we will fix up and come back stronger against Wales."

On making 100 caps: "I want to thank all my friends and family, all them making the trip makes it special to me.

"Everyone has had a part to play when I have worn this shirt."

On advice to her younger self: "Keep smiling and doing what you love doing."

  3. The girls give me bags of confidence - Kildunne

    FT: Italy 0-48 England

Player of the match Ellie Kildunne said on BBC Two:

"We turned up on the day. We tightened up. It was a fast track to run on so I enjoyed it.

"We went into this and asked each other what we wanted from each other. I asked for confidence. The girls gave me bags of confidence.

"The confidence leaks in - you go for things 100%. I wouldn't have been able to do it without the other girls around me."

On captain Marlie Packer winning her 100th cap:

"We went through Marlie's story a bit last night. She's not had a smooth ride but I'm so proud of where she is right now.

"You can just see it - the way she is smiling and laughing is infectious and it leads everyone around her."

  4. 'Beckett will be gutted'

    FT: Italy 0-48 England

    Sarah Bern

Injured England prop on BBC Two

Sarah Beckett will be really gutted with her red card, but the [crocodile roll] mechanism is really dangeorus.

It can really affect the knee so I can see why it was a high degree of danger.

  5. Post update

    FT: Italy 0-48 England

A couple of top-line stats that tell the story of that game.

England gained 622m to Italy's 308m. The Red Roses won 10 turnovers and Italy won two.

The Azzurre held firm early on, but England were increasingly dominant in the second half.

  6. 'The floodgates opened'

    FT: Italy 0-48 England

    Maggie Alphonsi

2014 England World Cup winner on BBC Two

John Mitchell will be pleased with how they came back in the second half, but by England's standard they will be disappointed with the first half.

They are much more clinical in the red-zone area, but in the second half the floodgates opened up and Italy were shattered.

England's bench was also very good when they came on.

  7. Full-time

    FT: Italy 0-48 England

It's all smiles between England head coach John Mitchell and former captain Sarah Hunter in the stands as their side claims a big win.

It was a slow start in Parma - but things certainly sped up as the second half went on.

The Red Roses move to the top of the Women's Six Nations table as round one comes to an end.

  8. Post update

    Italy 0-48 England

    Katy Daley-Mclean

Former England captain on BBC Two

It's finished how it started with a try from the line-out.

It's England's safe place the line-out, Connie Powell had a much easy run in compared to her intercept earlier.

  9. Try - Italy 0-48 England

    Connie Powell (Con Aitchison)

    That's eight.

England finish in classic style. Line-out - maul - Connie Powell try.

Holly Aitchison adds two more points.

  10. Sin-bin - Emma Stevanin

    Italy 0-41 England

It's more than a penalty. An infringement on the floor sees Italy's Emma Stevanin sent from the field.

  11. Post update

    Italy 0-41 England

What a run from Connie Powell!

The replacement hooker nabs the ball and is off down the field. She can't quite finish it off and instead England win a penalty metres from the tryline.

  12. Post update

    Italy 0-41 England

Italy are having one last run with it as the clock goes red.

  13. Post update

    Italy 0-41 England

The ball slips off England replacement Megan Jones' fingertips, spilling forward.

We'll have one more scrum - possibly the last of the game.

  14. Post update

    Italy 0-41 England

With a couple of minutes to go, England will have a line-out just outside Italy's 22.

Sure the Red Roses wouldn't mind one more try before full-time. Helena Rowland is back on the field after her yellow card too.

  15. Post update

    Italy 0-41 England

Most entertaining pass of the day?

Italy back Beatrice Rigoni decides now is the time to bend down and pass the ball through her legs. It doesn't quite go to plan and England get a scrum in Italy's half.

  16. Post update

    Italy 0-41 England

Italy's Alyssa D'Inca storms down the right wing and the crowd are delighted... until they realise there was a forward pass.

The jubilant cheers are replaced by the sound of England setting for a scrum.

  17. Post update

    Italy 0-41 England

Fair play to Italy - they still will not give up.

They spin the ball left off the back of a scrum and plough into England's half.

  18. Post update

    Italy 0-41 England

    Some good news for England.

The bunker review is over and Helena Rowland's card will stay yellow.

  19. Post update

    Italy 0-41 England

    Katy Daley-Mclean

Former England captain on BBC Two

The speed of ball is causing Italy so many problems.

England didn't let the ball die, the ball is kept alive by the forwards and it does not allow Italy to get set.

England's forwards are working well and offloading well.

  20. Try - Italy 0-41 England

    Ellie Kildunne

    Another one!

No players, no problem for England. They may be down to 13, but a long ball out to the right finds Ellie Kildunne and the full-back scores her second of the match.

Holly Aitchison swings the conversion left of the posts.
