    Scotland 5-8 France

You don't get closer than that! Lovely strike from Lina Queyroi from close to the halfway line, it's got the legs but hits the post and bounces out.

France then force another penalty straight away. Inside the 22 this time.

Errors breed errors. France now get a very kickable penalty.

It was a good scrum which France got penalty advantage from.

They then had simple hands and Kelly Arbey at 14 finishes it off.

Arbey keeps her balance just enough to finish off for her first try at senior level.

You wondered how each side would react to such a lengthy stoppage and France show their class to strike instantly and regain the lead!

Quick hands gets the ball out wide to wing Kelly Arbey, who bounces inside off a tackle and stretches to touch down superbly.

Lina Queyroi can't add the conversion from a tight angle.

Molly Wright laid on a medical cartImage source, Getty Images

She leaves the field on a cart, on the gas and air as well. That doesn't look too good, let's hope it's nothing too major. It does mean that try scorer Elis Martin is back on the field for Scotland.

Molly Wright is still being treated. This is a lengthy stoppage indeed.

France in the first half did their offloading game in the wide channels and then in the 22 they came into the centre of the pitch.

Now they are moving it wide too early and handling errors are coming into the game.

    Scotland 5-3 France

The stretcher is on for Molly Wright, who hurt herself making a tackle on Nassira Konde by the looks of it. It was the way she rebounded out of the tackle onto the pitch in fact.

  12. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Scotland 5-3 France

Molly Wright has been on the pitch for about 30 seconds when she's left in a heap and needs some treatment. Brutal welcome to the game.

  13. Replacementspublished at 52 mins

    Scotland 5-3 France

Both sides begin to shuffle the pack, Scotland full-back Chloe Rollie is among those coming on. Can the hosts stay in the lead?

  14. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Scotland 5-3 France

Romane Menager and Nassira Konde carry the ball so well, they link up for France again as the white shirts hone in on the tryline but Kelly Arbey can't collect the offload and knocks it on.

  15. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Scotland 5-3 France

Better from Scotland, keeping the ball in hand for a sustained period and stemming the tide somewhat.

  16. Postpublished at 46 mins

    Scotland 5-3 France

Scotland look fatigued already in this second period, they have got through some serious work already of course. Caity Mattinson slices her kick out of play on the full and the pressure will just ramp up.

  17. 'France are forcing it'published at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March

    Scotland 5-3 France

    Heather Lockhart
Former Scotland prop on BBC Scotland

It looks to me like France are forcing it.

They are doing the release pass out the back and forcing the extra pass when they could just go through the phases.

    Scotland 5-3 France

    Heather Lockhart
Former Scotland prop on BBC Scotland

France are trying to get into the wide channels, but it was an excellent tackle from Rhona Lloyd, that slowed it down in front of the sticks and repels France.

  19. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Scotland 5-3 France

That's at least three occasions today where France looked sure to score but have been repelled by the Scotland defence.

  20. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Scotland 5-3 France

Brilliant defence yet again from Scotland! France counter down their right, full-back Emilie Boulard is held up and the ball comes inside, giant prop Assia Khalfaoui is then somehow stopped from just a few metres out and the kick in behind goes dead.
