Well that's all from me this evening. A five point victory means Glasgow go up into second in the league and Dragons remain down in 15th.

Fortress Scotstoun remains and Franco Smith's men have the momentum behind them for their trip to Italian in a couple of weeks.

Glasgow Warriors head coach Franco Smith spoke to Viaplay after the game:

"I'm really happy with the win and I thought we played some good rugby at times. Too many errors, there were a lot of line breaks and opportunities missed, which is understandable, these guys haven't played for quite a bit. Even the last three games, not everyone was involved so they haven't played since last year but it's good to have them putting their hands up for responsibility and I thought they did really good.

"It was good to have three nines and two hookers in the team tonight. I like to work with rugby players, if you're a forward or a back that's up to you. I'm excited because that way it feels like everyone is contributing and keeps morale high in the team.

"Stafford is a special guy, he is tall enough to do all of that. His versatility is obviously very good but he is just a good rugby, we try to play him wherever we think he can make a difference. It takes time to get the blue print of the team. The first 80% is easier than the last 20% that takes a lot longer. I think we have brought enough versatility to our team to deal with different shapes and threats. It was important for us to settle our maul at the beginning of the season as that allows us a lot of other opportunities.

"We just want to be competing with the strengths that we have and develop a team that's adaptable. There's a long season ahead, there's still three big test matches to be played and most of our guys are involved. Then there's the last 16 against Harlequins so there is a lot of rugby to be played and it's going to be important to manage the squad. We're trying to manage the guys well and if the young guys step up it allows us to manage better."

Player of the Match Stafford McDowall spoke to Viaplay on the whistle:

"There are a lot of positives to take from tonight. We talked about at half time how we missed some opportunities though so when we got to Treviso in a couple of weeks, we'll need to tighten up. That's the good thing about what we're doing here, we're never satisfied with what we've done.

"We scored some good tries here and we will take the win but lots to improve on. We're building a great culture here, two boys coming in and getting their debuts and Jamie Bhatti on his 100th as well so we had a mix of old boys and young boys who did a good job.

"It's been great for me, I'm really loving being part of this squad and what Franco and all of the other coaches are doing here. It's a great place to be at the moment."

Another win at Fortress Scotstoun for Franco Smith's men. Another loss to add to 15th place Dragons' record. Any team that goes to Scotstoun will be challenged just now, Franco Smith has a well oiled machine playing for him.

A breathless start from the home side allowed them a comfortable 14-0 lead, unfortunately for Dragons even when game plateaued they couldn't get a foot in until the second half.

Five important points see Glasgow move into second of the URC.

Things go from bad to worse for the Welshmen as they give away a penalty. From what I can gather it's because they forgot to do the tap in 'tap and go'...
