Defensively Saracens must front up as they are letting Bordeaux into half gaps and that is not good enough. They must make clean shots at this stage of the competition.

    HT: Bordeaux 10-0 Saracens

The loss of Owen Farrell has been huge for Saracens, but Alex Goode has done it before at 10 for Saracens - the 2020 quarter-final against Leinster in Dublin is one that comes to mind.

This is an even bigger task away in France as that day there was no crowd...

    Kat Merchant
2014 World Cup winner on BBC Radio Sports Extra

I imagine Saracens are going to kick long and put pressure on. That is a tactic they have used for years. For me, they must ride the sin-bin out and then use Alex Goode at 10 to try something different.

Damian Penaud pokes the ball through but Saracens gather and run it into touch.

    Bordeaux 0-0 Saracens

Eye of the needle stuff by Alex Goode.

The stand-in Saracens fly-half shifts onto his right and stabs the ball through but it just evades Alex Lewington for a run in.

    Clever.

  18. Postpublished at 18 mins
