    FT: Edinburgh 33-15 Bayonne

Edinburgh flanker Hamish Watson has been named Player of the Match, and has been giving his thoughts to Viaplay:

"It was pretty scrappy in the first 20 minutes. We found it hard to defend them early on - they came to play, full credit to them.

"The forwards fronted up really well today. We showed what we could do out there."

    Duncan Weir
Glasgow and Scotland fly-half on Viaplay

Edinburgh showed way more quality in attack than last week.

They were patient, didn't lose any cheap turnover, and were really clinical.

There's still room for improvement, but it was much improved.

    Duhan van der Merwe

You don't stop the big man from there.

Duhan van der Merwe has hardly touched the ball tonight, but he takes his chance when it comes.

Ben Healy fires a great flat pass out to the Scotland winger, who hares down the line and crashes through Kleo Labarbe's attempted tackle to score in the corner.

Ben Healy adds the extras from out wide.

Bayonne look to run it from their own 22, but a handling error gifts possession back to Edinburgh.

Edinburgh look much more confident now, and they look set for another try when Wes Goosen is released down the left wing.

However, a knock-on sees it come to nothing.

    Ben Vellacott

That could be a decisive blow.

Edinburgh go through the phases, and as soon as Ben Vellacott spots a gap, he snipes and dives over from close range.

Ben Healy adds the extras and the lead is now 11 points. Edinburgh were three down just five minutes ago.

  15. Sin-bin - Yan Lestrade (Bayonne)published at 55 mins

    Edinburgh 19-15 Bayonne

It's really naughty from Yan Lestrade. He tucks his right arm as he dives in late on Ben Vellacott, and is rightly shown yellow.

Ben Healy knocks over the conversion, and Edinburgh will have a penalty on halfway in lieu of a restart.

    Ben Vellacott

    Edinburgh lead once more.

Ben Vellacott snipes of the back of a ruck, and then steps off his left foot to beat the last man and score under the posts.

Away centre Yan Lestrade might be in bother as well - he goes in late on Vellacott after the scrum-half had dotted down. The TMO is having a look at it.

    Tom Spring

And straight from the restart, Bayonne score a wonderful long-range try.

It's all about Nadir Megdoud, who jinks out of a tackle and times his pass to perfection to release Tom Spring.

Wes Goosen does his best to get across to prevent the score, but Spring holds him off long enough to dot down in the corner.

Spring can't quite add the extras.
