  4. Aberdeen boss Derek McInnespublished at 11:45

"Since the cup final [League Cup final defeat by Celtic] the sequence of results have huffed and puffed a wee bit.

"We haven't really got any momentum going. The two defeats since then [the loss at Hampden] at Ibrox and Ross County have been quite harsh on the team. I thought the performances were good.

"Sometimes, you can over-analyse things. There are certain things we need to do a bit better and, it is about results over performances."

"I've got every faith in the players," McInnes added.

"We're disappointed we haven't won more games but I totally trust in what we do.

"Where we're judged, we're judged against teams with far bigger resource.

"In three-and-half years, we've spent £200,000 putting this team together in Kenny McLean - that's the only money we've spent. We have tried to work extremely hard at all other areas of our football department and how we work as a team Monday-to-Friday.

"The players are honest, hard-working boys who are desperate to get back to winning ways."

  5. McGowan tips Rogic for big movepublished at 11:30

Former Hearts and Dundee United defender Ryan McGowan was on Sportsound last night and spoke about Australia team-mate Tom Rogic.

"I think he could go very far," McGowan, 27, said of the Celtic midfielder, 24.

"It took him a little while to get going at Celtic. He had been through a few injuries.

"I think he'll be the next one of Celtic's production line that goes down south for huge money."

    Good Morning Scotland

All Scottish Football Professional League matches scheduled before Christmas are expected to go ahead despite weather warnings being issued for some parts of the country.

The SPFL say they will monitor the situation.

  13. Sinclair savours Ibrox trippublished at 10:02

Celtic forward Scott Sinclair is relishing the prospect of experiencing his first Old Firm derby at Ibrox on 31 December.

Sinclair scored in Celtic's 5-1 win over Rangers in September.

"It's great," said Sinclair, 27. "It's great for all footballers. The hatred, that all the fans don't like you and all our fans are behind us."

  14. Three sleeps to go...published at 10:00

Schools across the country may be drawing the autumn/winter term to a close in time for Christmas but there'll be no DVD watching or board games being played here in the BBC Scotland office - or indeed at the country's football clubs (we hope) - as we preview the weekend's festive football.
