  10. 'I don't want Hibs to be the great entertainers' - Lennonpublished at 14:58

    Ross County v Hibernian (15:00)

Hibernian manager Neil Lennon explains to BBC Scotland that Ofir Marciano will be missing next week due to a Jewish holiday, so Ross Laidlaw starts in goal.

"Ross Laidlaw is playing today to give him a run of games, it's important going into the Celtic game. The players need to get used to him. He's a very good number two, he played very well on Tuesday night [3-2 win over Livingston], no qualms about playing him today.

"Up until the last half hour of the Motherwell match [2-2 draw] we've been excellent this season. We've not won in the league since the second day of the season although we've been unfortunate. Ross County have been a Premiership team for a long time now so we have to respect that, but we're coming here to win.

"I don't want us to be the great entertainers of the league. A clean sheet would be very satisfactory today but we'll have to earn it."

  12. 'We need the first goal' - McIntyrepublished at 14:55

    Ross County v Hibernian (15:00)

Ross County manager Jim McIntyre speaking to BBC Scotland: "What Hibs have been doing better than us is scoring more. We need to try and get ourselves that first goal because that's been elusive as well and it's key in this league.

"Liam Boyce was a class act but we feel we've added well in the striker department. We're making chances, it's just about putting them away."

  13. 'Brown was pivotal; Boyata was fantastic' - Rodgerspublished at 14:53

    FT: Rangers 0-2 Celtic

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, speaking to BBC Sportsound: "[Brown] was outstanding, a pivotal player for us. In the big games he makes big contributions. He was pivotal today, he had the boy Pena in and around him when he had the ball, but as the game wore in he got even more space and controlled it. He has the nerve for these big games.

"The difference it makes with the two centre-halves back [Boyata and Simunovic], they want to defend and go and head it.

"There was pressure on them going into the box and they want to defend, Boyata is fantastic for me, he had a challenge on him early on in the first half that tested his knee that he came through well. We have Moussa [Dembele] coming back, I have a very strong squad and they’re all fighting for places and fighting to win."

    FT: Rangers 0-2 Celtic

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha clashed with Celtic skipper Scott Brown as the teams left the field at half-time.

The Portuguese was said to be unhappy with an incident involving Brown and Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.

When asked what had happened, Caixinha told Sky Sports: "I just told him, be clear, with me on the pitch, you're not giving me (an) elbow.

"You're not going to be allowed to give me an elbow.

"You do it because you demand everything and everyone allows you to do it, but not with me. Loud and clear, loud and clear."

Caixinha continued: "I don't care if he got the message, I'm here to face whatever I need to face.

"When these things happen, someone needs to take decisions. I'm here to take my decision, but all the others in other jobs need to take theirs.

"It's the second time in a row I've watched this at Ibrox.

"It's our fault because we committed mistakes, they committed less mistakes, but it's not my job to comment on the referee's decision.

"It's my job to be aware of what's going on in the game and a lot to defend my club and defend my players."

Tommy Wright has explained leaving Michael O'Halloran out against Hamilton, with the winger is nursing an ankle injury.

"We thought he had an outside chance, but he wasn't able to get on the grass yesterday so we'll just not take any risks with him and hopefully get him fit for next week," says the St Johnstone boss.

"I think if Michael was 90 or 95% fit he would have wanted to play but he's just a bit short."

    Kilmarnock v Dundee (15:00)

    John Barnes
    BBC Scotland at Rugby Park

Dundee manager Neil McCann says he didn't take his squad on to an artificial pitch in advance of their visit to Rugby Park because, he says, it's "a waste of time" as all artificial surfaces are different.

He added he didn't want to suffer any undue injuries prior to arriving at Kilmarnock, but he will alter their pre-match warm up to get an understanding of the surface. He said he did prior to facing Hamilton but claims their pitch is poor.

    FT: Rangers 0-2 Celtic

"We were the better team in the first half and the manager told us just to keep going because we thought they would tire," Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths tells Sky Sports.

“We did that and, at the end, they were dead on their feet.

“We created some good chances in the first half and we just took them in the second half.

“It was a great through ball from Pat and I just managed to squeeze it inside the near post.

“To score on my 100th league appearance is really nice.”
