Rangers 0-0 Celtic
Aged 19, making his first start for Rangers, and it's against Celtic. Ross McCrorie has looked assured so far, and one challenge on Leigh Griffiths showed his tackling ability to good effect.

In their last six Old Firm games Rangers only managed to keep Celtic goal-less in the first half in one of them. This will be a real psychological boost if they can do it here given the number of times Celtic have managed to get in behind them.

Goalless at Ibrox at the break but plenty of talking points from the first Old Firm derby of the season.
Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha isn't a happy camper as the half-time whistle is blown; the Portuguese indicating a swinging arm/elbow as he speaks to referee Craig Thomson. Not sure what happened there...
Rangers 0-0 Celtic
Referee Craig Thomson's patience has snapped as Alfredo Morelos earns the first yellow card of the first Old Firm game of the season for a late challenge on Dedryk Boyata.
A lull in play as the Belgian requires treatment.
Scott Sinclair and Ryan Jack tussle for possession as the Celtic winger tries to get away from the Rangers midfielder. Free kick awarded to the hosts as Sinclair is penalised for a pull.
Rangers 0-0 Celtic
Celtic come forward again and Tom Rogic dinks a great ball into the path of Stuart Armstrong. The Scotland midfielder stumbles at the vital moment and another chance fizzles out.
Patrick Roberts, again looking like Celtic's most dangerous player, cuts the ball back for Stuart Armstrong to shoot... straight down Wes Foderingham's throat as the keeper makes a comfortable save.

No goals yet, but the fans are loving it!
Craig: Still one of the top derbies.
Mark Jones: Would love to go to an old firm game the atmosphere is electric.
Barry Meadows: If you watch the Old Firm it shows what English football is missing our leagues just a tourist attraction now.
Patrick Roberts, with a mazy run, dances through a forest of Rangers legs before getting to the byline but Wes Foderingham saves from close range.

Quote MessageBest chance, best chance no doubt for Rangers. If that ball was a foot nearer Morelos, I think that ball was in the back of the net.
A promising move for Rangers sees Graham Dorrans with the ball at his feet 25 yards from goal. He sells two Celtic players a dummy with a cut back before sending a shot high over the bar.

We've yet to see Craig Thomson brandish a yellow card to any of the players, yet... Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong comes perilously close, though, chopping down Josh Windass near the halfway line.
The whistler satisfies himself with a quick word with Armstrong, who trots off relieved.

Quote MessageAgain, a long ball dropping into an area. Griffiths - he could do what he wanted with it.
Rangers clear their lines and launch a counter attack of their own. A few dangerous-looking crosses into the box give the home supporters some encouragement but the hosts can't force Craig Gordon into action.
Rangers 0-0 Celtic
Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham has been alert to any Celtic-related danger so far. The keeper gathers an impressive Leigh Griffiths strike.
A corner kick for Rangers to defend coming up...
