    Ronnie O'Sullivan 3-2 Shaun Murphy (66-18, O'Sullivan break of 33)

It is the first frame where we have not had a break of at least 50, but O'Sullivan will not care about that as he retakes the lead.

    Stephen Hendry
Seven-time world champion at the York Barbican

Shaun Murphy doesn't - and never has - put the same amount of concentration and focus into safety shots that he puts into pots.

However, Shaun is the more consistent long-potter. It makes it very interesting when it comes to the safety battles.

    Ronnie O'Sullivan 2-2 Shaun Murphy

O'Sullivan, after that earlier foul, gets a chance in the fifth to retake the overall lead. He jumps up to a break of 31 before he falters, and has a 33-10 lead, but there is a lot of mileage left in this one.

Talking about O'Sullivan's foul when he nudged a red with his cue.

That's incredible. It is so careless for a professional snooker player to do that.

    Ronnie O'Sullivan 2-2 Shaun Murphy

No luck for Shaun Murphy as he goes into the pack of reds, leaving a tricky shot with the rest on a tight red. It stays out, and O'Sullivan 6-0 behind comes to the table.

However, he doesn't even get down to take a shot as he nudges a red with his cue, and the eagle-eyed official Paul Collier calls a foul to take Murphy 10-0 ahead in frame five.

We have talked about Ronnie O'Sullivan needing to win this match to equal Steve Davis' record of six UK Championship wins.

    Ronnie O'Sullivan 2-2 Shaun Murphy

    John Parrott

That was a magnificent match-play frame of snooker. That safety shot was fantastic from Shaun Murphy - and that's not what we usually associate with him.

  18. Murphy steals the fourth framepublished at 14:09 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2017

    Ronnie O'Sullivan 2-2 Shaun Murphy 62-76 (O'Sullivan break of 62, Murphy break of 39)

And a great steal it is.

O'Sullivan made a break of 62 in the fourth frame, but it was not enough as Shaun Murphy nabs the frame on the black. There had even been a fly on the table before the shot.

Fly gone, frame gone. Two-two in a thrilling opening four frames.
