  1. 'Monster frame for Wilson'published at 21:53 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2018

Frame 15: Mark Allen 8-7 Kyren Wilson

    John Parrott
1991 world champion on BBC Two

Wilson has got tremendous character. Under the circumstances he played a monster frame. Allen had a chance on the long red, but Wilson should take a bow.

Frame 15: Mark Allen 8-7 Kyren Wilson

Mark Nicol‏: This is like snooker from the 80s. Someone makes a break in the 40s, breaks down, the other player does the same and down to the colours. Great stuff.

Stuart L: Two frames on the bounce for Kyren Wilson! You can do it. The comeback king will reign supreme!

Bruno Kuvek: This is why we love snooker. Shocker of a positional shot than uncertainty of a position on the yellow than shocker of a pot with extreme right hand side...

  3. 'Wilson uses Allen fans for motivation'published at 21:49 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2018

Frame 15: Mark Allen 8-7 Kyren Wilson

    Stephen Hendry
Seven-time world champion on BBC Two

Kyren seemed to look into the Allen supporters after potting that vital yellow. I said earlier he needs to use them as motivation and maybe that's what he has done.

  4. Wilson reduces the deficit to onepublished at 21:49 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2018

    Frame 15: Mark Allen 8-7 Kyren Wilson (49-71, Allen 49, Wilson 42)

We are back to one frame in it. Mark Allen had chances to wrap that one up and was 49-0 up. If he does not get his hands on the trophy then he will be having nightmares about this frame.

But Wilson does what he needs to. Allen had won three on the spin, now Wilson has taken two back. 8-7.

  5. 'Wilson picks up the pace'published at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2018

Frame 15: Mark Allen 8-6 Kyren Wilson

    John Virgo
1979 UK Championship winner on BBC Two

Kyren is really picking up the pace now. His average shot time is down to 25 seconds a shot.

Frame 15: Mark Allen 8-6 Kyren Wilson

Winning-line nerves from Allen? Maybe. He is left a table-length long red but misses it and Wilson has a chance to capitalise.

But then he too suffers from a twitchy arm, over hitting his shot to try to get position on the yellow. But a fine cut downs the yellow and gets him back on track.

Frame 15: Mark Allen 8-6 Kyren Wilson

Kyren Wilson rattles up 47, but needs a bit of luck and on this occasion he doesn't get it. He pots the blue, comes off the cushion trying to dislodge the red, but fails to connect. Break over. 49-47

  8. WATCH: Wilson gets 'bonus' with great safetypublished at 21:43 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2018

Frame 15: Mark Allen 8-6 Kyren Wilson

Watch as Kyren Wilson got a bit of a "bonus" with this safety shot in the last frame.

Frame 15: Mark Allen 8-6 Kyren Wilson

Anyone, back to the action. Kyren Wilson is putting up a real fight in this one and he is now only seven behind Allen with his break currently standing at 42. 49-42

Frame 15: Mark Allen 8-6 Kyren Wilson

We haven't had a suspicious snooker lookalike for a while. So let's correct that.

Denis thinks Kyren Wilson looks like Fight Club star Edward Norton.

Frame 15: Mark Allen 8-6 Kyren Wilson

We have seen a few missed shots that are slow-rolled into the left middle pocket. And now we have another one, as Mark Allen stalls when on 49 as his red stays out.

This frame had looked done and dusted, but that miss breathes some life into it. 49-0

Frame 15: Mark Allen 8-6 Kyren Wilson

Everyone doing OK? This could well be a fantastic finish in store so don't go anywhere. We will bring you all the action and drama.

Remember, the winner is the first to 10. So Mark Allen needs two, Kyren Wilson needs four and we could still have another five frames to go. On into frame 15 we go and it is a bright start from Mark Allen 31-0.

  13. 'Kyren smells a change'published at 21:32 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2018

Frame 14: Mark Allen 8-6 Kyren Wilson

    Steve Davis
Six-time UK champion on BBC Two

When Kyren smells that something is changing in a match he seems to know he can get things going. He didn't waste any time. He is trying to get himself at it. I like what he is doing.

  14. 'Kyren does what he had to do'published at 21:31 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2018

Frame 14: Mark Allen 8-6 Kyren Wilson

    Stephen Hendry
Seven-time world champion on BBC Two

There were two enormous slices of good fortune in this frame for Wilson, but fair play - he has done what he had to do. He could not afford to go further behind.

  15. Wilson wins first frame in fourpublished at 21:31 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2018

Frame 14: Mark Allen 8-6 Kyren Wilson (0-98, Wilson 73)

He had some luck in frame 14, but Kyren Wilson stops the rot and wins his first frame in four. It is a much-needed frame, and after the luck goes his way he does the rest in some style, making 73 - his seventh half-century break of the final.

He was 5-2 down to Judd Trump yesterday and won it 6-5, now he is trying to claw himself back from 8-5 behind. Well, he has one. 8-6.

  16. Postpublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2018

Frame 14: Mark Allen 8-5 Kyren Wilson

Kyren Wilson's form with the rest has been a bit shaky, but not this time. He downs a red and has a great chance to pull one back. 0-55

  17. 'Allen has opponent where he wants him'published at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2018

Frame 14: Mark Allen 8-5 Kyren Wilson

    John Virgo
1979 UK Championship winner on BBC Two

Mark Allen has got his man just where he wants him. I don't think he will shut up shop but he will take less risks. If Kyren doesn't win this frame, you have to think his chance has gone.

  18. Postpublished at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2018

Frame 14: Mark Allen 8-5 Kyren Wilson

If you get some luck you have to take it. Kyren Wilson leaves a black hanging over the pocket, before Allen leaves a red on the table. Nervous, very nervous from both men. 0-17

  19. 'Wilson is a fighter'published at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2018

Frame 14: Mark Allen 8-5 Kyren Wilson

    Stephen Hendry
Seven-time world champion on BBC Two

Kyren Wilson is a fighter - you only had to see the match against Trump when he came back. But he won't get Allen playing crazy shots to let him back in.

  20. Postpublished at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2018

Frame 14: Mark Allen 8-5 Kyren Wilson

"Maybe that could be a turning point" asks Stephen Hendry. It comes as Kyren Wilson gets some luck of his own in frame 14 - payback for that lucky Mark Allen green in the last frame.

This time a red hits the knuckles of the middle pocket and goes into the top pocket. Wilson will certainly take that.

And here is that shot that I have been talking about.
