Frame 15: Selby 7-7 Murphy
And just as Stephen says that, Shaun Murphy illustrates the point.
He's in on a break of 34 but another attempt to crash into the pack off the black ends up fruitless.

It’s simmering. There’s nothing that’s happened in this final yet that’s made you go ‘wow, that’s unbelievable’.
I’m waiting for something to happen. It’s frame for frame, there’s not even been a century yet.
You go back to Shaun’s last final against Stuart Bingham and it was unbelievable attacking snooker, break after break.
This is good matchplay but at the minute it’s nothing startling.
Frame 14: Selby 7-7 Murphy
Whatever it is, Mark Selby isn't letting it bother him.
He knocks in a nice long red to regain control of the table.
The three-time champ compiles a 57 break to seal the frame.
It's going all the way, this one isn't it? #clichealert
Frame 14: Selby 6-7 Murphy
But another one of those cannons goes wrong and Mark Selby is not on a red.
Is it the conditions? Are the players not playing these shots hard enough? Or is it just misfortune?
Frame 14: Selby 6-7 Murphy
We have a carbon copy of one of the afternoon's frames here.
Shaun Murphy fouls early on to leave Mark Selby a free ball.
There's the chance of a 16-red clearance here and Selby's break is up to 48 already...
World Snooker Tour announced earlier today that tickets for next year's tournament are already on sale.
Bit early, folks - this one isn't even finished yet!
I see their point about getting your skates on though - some ticket holders for this year's event had the option to defer to 2022 so there will be fewer available than normal.
WST chairman Barry Hearn OBE said: “We are delighted to make tickets available for the Crucible next year and no doubt they will be snapped up within days.
“We anticipate that the success of the event will help everyone move along the roadmap towards better times, and we sincerely hope that by 2022 we will be able to welcome a capacity crowd for every session at the Crucible.
"We will be working relentlessly towards this goal, building on our record of overcoming challenges over the past year."
Hear, hear.

There's a debate about who is the best there's ever been with the rest.
I think it's this man here. He is amazing with it.
He made that last red look very easy.
Frame 13: Selby 6-7 Murphy
But he makes them look simple, including an incredibly tricky final red with the rest, to clear the table with 64 and lead again.
Shaun Murphy has not trailed in this match.
Frame 13: Selby 6-6 Murphy
But Selby again breaks down after another cannon into the pack goes slightly awry.
You have to feel a bit for both players here, those little nudges are not working out for either of them.
The ball is back in Shaun Murphy's court - he needs the final two reds but both are in difficult positions near cushions.
Frame 13: Selby 6-6 Murphy
Contender for shot of the day as, with the cue ball just off the baulk cushion, Mark Selby nicks a thin red into the middle.
He didn't seem as if he could see enough of that but there was just a perfect edge poking out.
Frame 13: Selby 6-6 Murphy
Feels like there's some glue on the white ball today.
Every time either player tries to break into the pack, it's just sticking.
End of break for the Magician unless he can pull a rabbit out of the hat.
Frame 13: Selby 6-6 Murphy
A really aggressive start to the second half of this session from Shaun Murphy.
He blitzes in a long red at a really tight angle and, after forcing Mark Selby into a safety error, cuts a far-from-easy red into the middle pocket.
A chance, this, to end Selby's two-frame run.

Mark won three world titles in four years and while everyone, and rightly so, now that Ronnie has won six, was saying that he was going to be the one to break my record, I always thought it was going to be Mark.
That dominant period he had, the type of snooker he played and because he was so far ahead of everyone, I thought he was going to be the dominant player at the Crucible for the next five to 10 years.
Ronnie is still playing to the highest standard at 45 and there’s nothing to say that Mark Selby can’t do the same.
He’s a fit lad and someone else I’m going to have to sweat!
Frame 13: Selby 6-6 Murphy
There's a slight delay to the resumption as we await a glass for Shaun Murphy's water.
But official Jan Verhaas springs into action.
Bananas. Now water. Spoiled, these boys. But we're back under way.
Five more frames tonight - so somebody will be leading when Sunday's final ball is potted.
Selby 6-6 Murphy
Crucible reporter Steve Sutcliffe has just made me chuckle.
He says a World Snooker Tour official has just walked in the press room during the mid-session interval and asked if anyone has a banana.
Apparently, Mark Selby wanted one. He clearly needs to fuel up.
BBC Radio 5 Live's Jamie Broughton did the honours.
Selby will be hoping to avoid any slip-ups when play resumes in a few minutes.
Judd Trump says he wants to help "freshen things" up in snooker after moving into the BBC commentary box for the World Championship.

If you watched the green baize game in the 1980s, then the upcoming Gods of Snooker programme will be right up your street.
And even if you're too young to remember that decade, it's well worth a watch so you have an idea what the old uns are on about when they moan there's no characters in the game like there used to be.

Stephen Hendry

Mark Selby moves the cue ball around tremendously well. He has a long straight cue action. I think he is the best in the game for top spin.
Alan McManus
Former Masters champion on BBC Two
I have seen Mark Selby all through the years - he follows the same routine. Even if he was winning 4-0 he would go to the practice table.
Snooker players are creatures of habit.
